Product Description
Bundle up and stay warm even in the coldest temperatures when you snuggle up in this oversized olive green wool blanket. The 80 percent wool construction is quite snug, and it's perfect for camping and outdoors trips, or just to have around in your automobile, boat or RV. Measures 64" x 84" overall. Weighs 4 lbs.
Great price for an 80% wool blanket. I received it on time and in perfect condition. The blanket itself is good quality and definitely serves its purpose. I highly recommend it. The previous reviews about a "petroleum smell" must have been a storage issue or something else that has been corrected. Mine had no smell and was ready to use out of the packaging.

Love it!
Just to be clear, this wool blanket does NOT smell like gasoline/petrol. It does have a warehouse type of smell, which after a week is nearly gone now. This is a 80/20 blend wool blanket (some other brands are only 60/40 for the same price), measuring 5'4"x7', and for $20 it is absolutely amazing. I bought this for my wife, because she always stays bundled up like an Eskimo in the house from late September til about the middle of May, and now this has been her #1 go-to blanket. I'll be ordering another one of these to have as an extra on-hand, as well as for camping purposes. People give this item bad reviews, but let's be perfectly honest here...it's an 80/20 blend wool blanket that WILL keep you very warm, for only $20...c'mon man!!! Anywhere else you will be spending around $60 for this same blanket.

Good Heavyweight Blanket
This is a solid, heavy wool blanket. It seems very similar to the ones we were issued in the Army, back in the sixties. It is a blend of 80 percent wool and 20 percent synthetic material. It does, indeed, weigh very close to four pounds. I plan to use it for camping and for emergency use in my pickup.

Serious Blanket
I just got 64 X 84 Wool Blanket Olive Green today and wow! It's defiantly a heavy duty version. I'm going to have to cut and sew it down to knock off some weight. The four pounds feels way to heavy for my Bugout Bag. There is a slight smell but not like some of the reviews mention of a petroleum smell. It's best not to wash these types of blankets if you can avoid. I am going to air mine out tonight as it is sealed in a zipper plastic bag. Then hopefully knock two pounds off of it. As is, it's perfect to keep in your car, but to heavy to carry in backpack.

Bad smell
No matter how many times I washed this I could not get the petroleum-like smell out of it. Really can't use it.

Great
I got new never used blanket in package. It does have a military surplus smell to it. That will go away with time. Really hard to find now. At a good price. Thx bk

Great wool blanket value
I was impressed with the quality and thickness as well as weight of the two blankeyts I ordered when they arrived. Tried one on my bed on a cold winter night a couple weeks ago and kept me warm and snug as a bug for a comfortable sleep all night!

great value
Great value for the cost. Brand new and very good quality, I put one in my truck and one in my wifes for emergency.

Pretty thin but ok
I was surprised in how thin these blankets are but they work for what I bought them for. I've been using them on my bed covers as I turn off the heat at night to conserve fuel for my heater. My house gets pretty cold during the night and these blankets make up for the comfort that I was lacking in keeping myself warm. They work wonderfully.

Sold as Avertised
The blanket does not shed. It provides ample worth. It is well constructed with good solid weave. Reminiscent of the blanket I used in the military. Also the blanket is not scratchy as some wools are known to be.

Pleasantly surprised
Just a bit of a storage smell but that went away after air drying. Quality seems great and tight weave. Other than the tag, I don't see much difference in the wool blankets the Marines issue.

Musty smell and fuzz
I really wanted to like this blanket but after several washings, it still smells really bad, even after letting it sit outside for several days to air out. It also sheds a ton of fibers every time I washed and dried it. I supposed that in time, it will eventually lose the musty smell but I'll probably end up just putting it in my trunk for emergencies, if there is anything left of it after shedding so many fibers.

Not a tight weave
I got two and washed them according to the directions on the label. A LOT of fibers came out as the weave is not tight. Now if I hold it up to the light I can see a ton of tiny holes where the fibers pulled out. Reading the reviews it seems like some are made better than others but the ones I got are not worth the money.

fuzzies
had to wash blanket when it arrived due to a funky smell. followed instructions for cleaning to the letter. it left fuzzies or fibers all over the inside of the washer and on the blanket. after shaking out the blanket and following drying instructions, i had to clean out the dryer and its filter due to a mass amount of fibers or fuzzies. the blanket seems to b intact but still has that funky smell. anticipated buying more but unsure now

Do Not Wash This Blanket
Blankets had odor washed according to attached label. There was an unbelievable amount of fiber in the washing machine and had to run each blanket thru 2 dryer cycles, emptied lint filter 3 times during each cycle. that's after shaking blankets outside. I followed label directions to the "T". These may be ok if you never wash them. Air dried for 2 days yet still had odor. That is why I washed them.
