This is the most ridiculous knife I have ever seen. I love it. I've had it for 2 hours and have had 3 people want to have their picture with it. BUDK you never disappoint.

I purchased six of these Giant Lock-back knives, and had them engraved for retirement gifts. The Police Officers that I work with loved them. The knives came pre-sharpened, and arrived in excellent condition. I would like to add a personal "Thank You BUDK" for ensuring the quality care of my order.

This is the one thing I give as a gift. I want my friends and family to be safe. How else would you be safe if not with a huge knife. This thing demands respect.

When I showed this beauty to my wife, she laughed, so hard! I love knives, and have many! I love my wife, but, can only have one. So, like her, I choose the very best! The handle plates of gray are very will finished, and the blade is sharp. I have pulled it through our kitchen ceramic edge sharpener, which did smooth the sharp edge to a razor one. When you put this knife into your right front pocket, you better have a heavy coin purse in the left one, just to balance the load! Timber Rattler went over the top on this one! Yes, it IS a practical knife, because, it's what you are cutting Cantalope or Watermellon with, at the family outing! Keep your eye on it, because others will covet it!

It is bigger than it looks in the picture. It is just insane. Once opened can wield it two-handed. Is it practical? Who cares!! It is insanely the most groovy thing to be seen.

Love this knife. Conversation piece. Can't wait till Christmas, my boy always asks for my pocket knife to open his gifts. Wait till I pull this monster out of my hip pocket. If you don't have one? I recommend you get one while you can. They are definitely worth the small price to pay. Awesome for the money

Maybe I got lucky with mine; but the quality was surprising for the price. It locks up nice, the blade doesn't have any play. It gets laughs and smiles when I show it off, and mine flicks open one handed no problem... but I do have large hands

Wow, this knife is a LOT bigger than you think, once you get it in-hand! Quality and workmanship is a lot better than other knives by this brand. You actually can use this knife, but you'd have to have a pretty strong wrist to whittle away at a stick. Don't plan on putting it in your pocket unless you wear a belt - it will pull your pants down! I've purchased 3 of these now, as friends who saw my first one said "get me one", so I've added them to subsequent orders. The old Crocodile Dundee phrase "now that's a knife" is very appropriate here. As far as difficulty closing, you need to push the lock in far enough, just like any lockback, only this one is much bigger and takes a lot more effort, as you might expect.

I am still amazed with this knife. I use it daily and I smile everytime. Just popping this massive pocket knife open for a utility bill letter opener makes it fun. I carry a smaller pocket knife for those dainty things, like cleaning my fingernails of grease and grime. Stays sharp just as long as any other pocket knife. Even used it for field dressing a deer once. Works for fishing too. Takes a little bit of getting used to have that much blade, but my regular fishing knife is a WW2 survival knife I found in a river bed some years back. That one has Camillus NY stamped on it, is about 5 inches of blade, once I cleaned the rust off of it and gave it an edge it has been my go to camping and fishing knife. What can I say, for 13 bucks buy a couple. Love it, use it.

One now lives in my camp kitchen, which mostly only goes out on Cub Scout forays anymore - so there's quite a bit of giggling over this thing, and I'm getting good usage out of it. EVERYONE cracks up when I toss one of them in my purse - the joke is now that I had to buy a purse large enough for the knife. They're just beautiful...really they are. :)

It is well made, I have no issues with it. Sharp, blade is tight, no wobble or rattles. I have no problem with it being hard to open or close. It is just so big it seems so wrong to look at it in your hand. But it feels so right at the same time. Well made, I would love to have a different type of material for the handle, "Pakka" wood is ok but a bone handle would be great. SO long as it isn't made of plastic. Serious piece of knife. It is scary to some people without even opening it. Love it. I would also like it to have a loop or hole to attach a lanyard or a carabiner to clip it on a belt loop. It is so large only coat pockets can hold it or my carpenter jeans tool pocket. Great on the job knife. Might buy a second one or maybe even third just so I can have one to keep nice and actually use it everyday.

I ordered this for my friend as a Birthday gift. It arrived yesterday and I made sure it open and close smoothly and it did. I'm thinking of ordering one for myself that's how much I like it. It's worth buying.

This is an awesome knife, just to have. Hell I can spend more at McDonalds and this is a gorgeous quality knife. It's also a perfect match to the Timber Bowie I just purchased. So buying this was a no brainer. Great big knife.

This is incredible ! This folding knife is more like a folding sword . The wood matches my Timber Rattler Outlaw Bowie knife perfectly. Nice addition for tactical vest. Found out that the flashlight pocket is perfect place for this knife . I have a push T handle knife taped to D ring I got from BudK on vest also .

Budk, Kept looking at this knife wondering if it was as large as portrayed. Viewed the video and realized it was true. So I ordered one. When I received the scarab back lock blade, Boy! one big massive knife! I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. And this knife came in with a nice sharp edge. Think I'll buy another one!! THANKS! Budk, YOU ROCK!!! George M

Let me start off first by saying that the photos and video don't do this thing justice. It's not just big, it's... ...HUGE... ...GIGANTIC... ...MONSTROUS! It's not a "pocket" knife. It's really a folding version of a Bowie knife that just looks like a pocket knife. As such, it should come with a leather "sheath"/pouch with a snapdown flap to keep it securely in place, just like other out-sized pocket knives. As it is, I store it with my Bowies. The only problem I have with this monster is the lockback. I need a pair of pliers to manipulate the thing to close it.

This knife, and the Heartwood Scarab giant folder, open easily enough, but closing them is a different story. Some of the reviewers have this problem, but some do not. Mine are so hard to release the blade to close it that it takes two thumbs!!! I guess it's just the luck of the draw. But, when open, they are impressive and I'm all in all happy with them. Someone suggested getting a sheath. That would work. Then, I'd never have to close them!

Given the price, the amount of steel & just the sheer awesomeness of the LARGE size of this knife, wood scales, etc, I should probably give 5 stars. But there are so many scratches & nicks, I just can't. It almost seems like 2 people worked on this knife. One side is really good, shiny & flawless. The other side is ground down a lot more & has nicks & scratches all over it. It is not even close to being symmetrical, the blade or the frame. Just seems like laziness and poor handling. Now all that being said, you might think I'm not happy with this knife or would not recommend you to get one. But I am really happy with it, I love it, it's HUGE, it's inexpensive, and I would highly recommend picking one up!! The best way for me to describe is it's FUN. It makes me smile just knowing it's in my pocket. When I pull it out & open it up, it is ear to ear grin factor x10. I see that they have a similar knife in a different pattern for a few more bucks, I'll be getting that one next. If you don't have one of these, GET ONE!!! You won't regret it, even if it just a conversation piece. Thanks for this one BudK, well done!!!

pulled it out of the box.......all I could do was laugh. unhinged this beast and it would not close. so after spraying alittle WD40 in all the pivots, she started working properly. so to all those who said mine wont close. relax, its been sitting for awhile, gotta lube it up and everything comes back to life. was gonna give it away as a gag. but my girl told me to keep it, because she loves it lol

Well. Like a previous review, the jury is still out! I bought one & was perfect & bought 2 more for gifts-perfect! Went to order 2 more for gifts & they were out of stock/back-order! So in thinking maybe they manufacture (says Pakisistan) rushed on these new ones but had the same problem as mentioned in late review, I could not get one of them to close unless I held it upside down & mashed it on table edge!! Not Cool! The other wasn't as bad but still hard to close. Customer Service was Great & I elected to just send the worst ONE back for replacement. No problem there! But I received another almost with same problem. But, With working the catch pin that snaps in grove when it locks with a small file, I was able with patience to get it somewhat usable. obviously the pin is not ground down enough (a tad to long)on these new shipments! Hope they get this problem straighten out with Manufacturer as these are Great giant folders for $13 bucks! & great gifts for any Bro you might know! Perhaps the new shipments will be better! Hope this helps. Most everything I have purchased has been a fair deal overall!! (just a side note for kicks, the new item MC6253 MTECH Ballistic Spring Assist Black & Gold Titanium folder is One Heck of a nice blade for yourself or a gift also! Highly Recommend!)

OK, first off, this thing is HUGE! It looks cool and it seems like it's made well, but for 13 clams, what do you expect? What you get is the biggest pocket knife on the planet! And it does make for a great conversation piece. Now, the reality... When I first got mine I opened it and could not get it to close! I was scared that I would lop off a finger or two trying to get the blade to release. Finally, after pressing the release as hard as I could, the blade folded. Maybe I got a lemon? Second of all, the bolsters are stainless, but STAMPED not solid! Beware of that. So, overall, I'd say it's worth the 13 bucks because of the novelty, but don't expect any real use from it. Would I say buy one? Sure!
