Schrade "OTF" pocket knives are already distinctive for their innovative "Out-the-Front" blade deployment, but this one takes "special" to a whole other level! It boasts a unique blue handle finish and an intricate patriotic blade etching that reads "These Colors Don't Run," flanked by a rippling American flag. The closest you’ll get to a switchblade without breaking the law, this limited edition first generation Schrade OTF Assisted Opening Pocket Knife fires its razor sharp 3” titanium coated 4116 stainless steel blade straight out of the handle using a trigger and spring mechanism. It’s an impressive, dramatic spectacle that gives you the quickest possible one-handed access to your blade when you need it most – self defense, cutting fishing line from an overstressed rod harness, severing parachute cord and countless other emergencies. As a precaution, the Schrade OTF includes a safety switch to prevent accidental discharge, so you can enjoy peace of mind no matter where you take it or how you carry it. The durable, slip resistant Zytel handle thwarts cutting blunders and unintentional injuries, as well. If you’re trapped in a wrecked car or burning building, use the built-in glass breaker to save yourself and others. At 4 3/5" closed, this special Schrade OTF is amply sized for day to day cutting tasks and then some, yet it fits comfortably in jeans pockets, especially via the integrated pocket clip. Best of all, using the Schrade OTF is just plain fun. Try it once, and you'll be hooked! This limited edition is also great for collections or as a gift for a veteran, active duty service member or any proud American.

I picked this up on one the $10 Tuesdays. Worth every penny. It's sharp and easy to use after a few minutes of handling. People get a kick out off the speed of it. Hey for ten or even twenty bucks it'll be there when you need it and is a quality piece. Glad I finally got one. Thanks BudK.

I've had the black one as my EDC for about two years and it's never failed me. I just liked the flag etching and had to have it. Well worth the price. You just have to remember to put a drop of oil on each side of the slide rail if it slows down a little and blow the lint out of it. It comes as expected from Schrade, sharp, high quality and Perfect edge right out of the box.

Love this knife! Reviewed by on May 22, 2017   5 out of 5

Got this knife a couple of weeks ago and have been getting used to opening-and-closing it with one hand ... very nice knife to carry around and to have "in case" ... I'm getting 2 more, 1 for my van and 1 as a gift to my Uncle ... totally worth the $20!
