This is a fantastic daily carry tool. It fits the hand and is comfortable to use. The knife is designed to almost be an extention of your finger. There is a thumb rise for push and leverage. The blade is thick enough at the spine to not worry about breakage. It is hollow ground, so blade chipping could be an issue if the knife is abused. I would NOT baton this knife. The blade came sharp right out of the box, not even dress strokes on the stone were necessary. I tried to throw the knife one time and chipped a corner off the G-10 handle. Gorilla Glue fixed the problem with ease. I have only one complaint and that is not about the knife but the sheath. The leather is very thin and while durable, wears quickly. The snap ring is in the way for drawing the knife and re-sheathing. I went to Tandy and bought leather and made my own sheath. It has lasted four years, daily carry, as compared to one year for the Schrade sheath. I recommend you but this knife, if you think you do not need it, using this well made tool will change your mind.

Very sharp knife, fine for deer size game to rabbit to squirrel (mmmmmm, squirrel...). Quality of the sheath appears to have fallen off a little bit over the years, but adequate for retention in the deep woods. Resharpens well with a butcher steel. Kind of the outdoorsman's paring knife. Great back up knife to a larger survival or hunting knife. Fine endurance and handy size.

Great knife Reviewed by Greg on Nov 23, 2014   5 out of 5

Friend bought this knife for me. 17 dollar knife just replaced my 40 something dollar BG Gerber. New daily carry. This knife came so sharp I knicked my finger(first time my own knife ever cut me). Comfortable grip. Sharp edge. Great quality sheath. Only problem i see is the safety strap makes it a bit harder to get out in a hurry. 5 out of 5.
