USMC Desert Sand Kukri Machete with Heavy Duty Nylon Sheath

Had one at first then got a second one. Last October/2023 when remote camping and hiking with our group of 12 everyone loved these. They came sharp but as always I used a kitchen stick knife sharpener to add a razor edge to both. Then as always three in one penetrating oil to coat steel and handles. Also on sheath where it was stiches together and in loops. Put dog collars through loops and wear them on big belt cross chest body with handle at belt level. These are great for basic camp chores but wore them in very remote areas with the camping group as a just in case/insurance policy items. Everyone in our group of 12 since then have bought at least one but most bought two. The handbook on Gerka, Kukri, fighting will show you how effective these can be if you practice and know how to use them. Not heavy but don't let that fool you. These are razor sharp and have a good point at the front of the blade tip. Both are with my dog and me when we go camping/hiking remote or local with one other person or in a group of 12. Two is one, one is none. Great quality and both were affordable for me in pension now at 62 years old.

Bought two over this past year. Always take both camping and hiking. Came sharp but I added a sharper edge and coated it with oil. Sharp point as well. Everyone Said they were ordering two when they saw the price. Very happy with quality and price.

I have (2nd) original a Coldsteel one. Now this. I am satisfied. Their when you need it. Not to be left in truck. Although at this price it would be nice to have in Tool box. Stout Survival Blade. some one complained it was not sharp. They should dig up an original. You need a belt sander to get an edge on those old Blade's, But when you do. it's their to last. I am an old time fan 1st original 1982. They come with 2 little blades great for Cheese spreaders. Ha ha ha. (I think they are splinter removers)

It wasn't sharp as advertised, so dull it would not even cut a watermelon. The one thing it did was dent it

I like it, it's a companion to my .300 Blackout. I just don't understand why BudK has the manufacturer's ship out knives that are duller than a butter knife. I've never received a decent sharp working blade from them. I always have to hone it sharp or at least dress the blade up with a ceramic rod. It's very frustration.

received this kukri. and is a very solid piece. could have been a little thicker (looks to be 3mm, as it is 2 nickles thick, but didn't measure it). but overall...I love the look and feels great...for 20 bucks its well worth the $$$.

The knife or machete kurki was sharp and felt great. The shipping was not to good. 3 knives where out of the box lose. It only had one piece of paper in it so everything was lose. Other than that the kurki and knives were very good and I was happy with them , 4 stars because of the shipping wraping
