nothing to write home about Reviewed by wayne hamilton on Sep 22, 2014   2 out of 5

This is the second one I've purchased with the M8A1 scabbard. I paid the full price for the first one and was pleased with it. Given a chance to get another for $10 less, I said OK. This one wasn't near as nice as the first. It had a little rust on the guard and the blade. the guard was loose, the scabbard looked cheaper than the first one, the finish on the metal was very poor. I soaked the handle in neatsfoot oil to expand the leather and buffed off the finish to make it look "vintage". Then I sharpened the blade. That was tough. OK, it looks vintage and will probably work ok. I got my money's worth and not a dime more.

very heavy duty. sheath is overly heavy but I like it anyway. strong fixed blade that comes pretty sharp.

a nice one Reviewed by GAF on Aug 22, 2014   4 out of 5

Got this knife to put in an original Army M8A1 scabbard that I have. A perfect fit and look somewhat like the miltary jungle knife I also have. The scabbard that comes with this knife is quite heavy, not a light weight. A little tweeking on it to do, but worth it.

GET IT! Reviewed by J. Youngblood on May 13, 2014   5 out of 5

I bought this just for the scabbard.I have an original that I needed a sheath for until I can find a real one. After I opened it I was able to place them side by side and get a good look.Wow.No its not the same metal. what a good looking knife. For a sharper blade use a metal file,no problem. The normal sharpening methods wont work until you take the factory edge off. The original fits perfect in the scabbard. I ended up giving it to my son and decided not to break up that pairing. It looked way to new to go with my knife. For 30 bucks plus shipping and tax I should have just waited and found an original scabbard. My son loves his as I do mine. I just don't get to carry it around just yet. If you want one and cant find or afford an original get this one for sure. You will love it. I was going to tear the knife apart and use it for pieces and parts for other stuff but just could not do it. It was way to nice. Trust me when I say that's saying a lot. I don't have issues tearing apart knives made in other countries to make my own franken knives. The bokken for 79 dollars is super nice also.I tried to get that 13 dollar cheapo but they were out. So having seen the original and all the knockoffs but one, this one is pretty. Its a poker not a chopper. Peace.

For Display Only Reviewed by Robert Krohn on Apr 10, 2014   3 out of 5

I got the two for one deal so I can only say I got what I paid for. First off, the scabbard only LOOKS like the original. It is way heavy so must be made out of some sort of metal rather than the lighter tough plastic of the originals. Webbing is too light weight. I bought two paratrooper leather scabbards on ebay as replacements. Now the knife itself. It's appearance is good. The blade material is inferior to a real knife. It will not take a truly sharp edge. This knife would be suitable for display or for a re-enactor. Do not trust it as a reliable usable knife.

Pretty good Reviewed by Clamhoe on Feb 04, 2014   4 out of 5

Looks pretty good, came kinda dull, heavy scabbard, priced high at $30.00 but got the 2 for 1 deal which is a great deal.Seems to be solid so far.

Great Collector Piece Reviewed by Michael Leaderbrand on Sep 06, 2013   5 out of 5

Easily worth the $30 bucks and half the price of the many other better known brand M3 Daggers. Great, great collector piece.

Just like my old one! Reviewed by James Eiland on Feb 28, 2013   5 out of 5

This is just like the one I had and in the service and now have with me at home Only difference is this one is new. If you want a true blue knife then this one is it. You can't go wrong.
