knock-off of a better made baton. a lil rust, nothing 2 minutes w/sum sandpaper didnt fix. careful with the lube, else you'll find a segment or 2 won't want to stay locked till ya swing h**l out of it. ad sez it's 26 inches long. tape measure sez its 24 inches long. just buy it.

Out of the box, this baby needs just a little TLC and then, boom! There are some rough edges around the tubes where they meet. Find the burrs and file them down, a round file works great. Oil with WD-40 and work it in and no problems.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Just like the other comments say, you need to lube it before extensive use. I've used ASP batons for a while and this is a good baton for the money. Difficult to deploy and collapse at first and I noticed some ionization spots in the action tubes. Brillo pad and a good thick lube, lightly applied takes care of it. For those of you who have to slam the baton on the ground to close..thats the way you close it, even the ASP's.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Had problems at the start. Opened the baton and had to really beat it on ground to get it to close. So I oiled it up with some 3 in 1 and now it works fairly good. I suggest that if you purchase this that the first thing you do is oil it with some good oil and I think will not have any problems.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

For the price paid, it's not too bad. When I unscrewed the base and took out the extenders, there was a lot of rust powder. It snapped open with ease, but due to the rust inside no doubt, it was very difficult to close. I'll oil it up and see if it improves.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Heavy duty product perfect for morning walks where unsecured dogs are often the rule. Needed a bit of oil but otherwise handy and very solid. A cane is effective but cries out "senior citizen." This thing sends a very different "stay away" message.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
