Great knife for daily carry use. Opens easily, quickly and is held open firmly. Closes one handed. Good size, grip and feel. The skull came unglued within hours of arrival, easily reattached?if I wanted to. The knife slide in and out of the pocket with zero snagging without the skull! I would have rated the knife with a 4 had the decoration remained and the pocket snags continued. I use the knife to cut heavy banding, both metal and plastic. I have no qualms with the durability, sharpness, or the black blade finish after opening 20+ pallets of pipe, stone and lumber. I was hesitant to think a knife priced so low would keep up with my work-a-day need. It does. Thank you Bud K!Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I got the red one but have a black one on order too. Only other difference is the red one is a straight blade, no serrations. The blade came very sharp, enough to shave hair. The flames have a cool 3D quality to them that changes reflection with the viewing angle, one of the most unique designs I've seen on a knife. The pictures don't do it justice and I don't know why they don't mention that in the description. What a buy. Nice mechanism, no complaints. good clip. Can't beat the price.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

For the price, I shouldn't complain, but the blade came extremely dull. It took some serious sharpening time to get it serviceable. Everything else is great. It opens easily and fast, the blade stays locked tight in place while open, and it has a good feel and weight to it.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

The blade isn't bad, when it says effortlessly opens that's a lie, it took serious effect for me to open it, but if you work it in it starts to get easier. It is extremely fast like they say, but you want an assisted open that's easy on the first shot ridge runner and bker do an amazing and but aren't as fast when the a.o. Hits. It's got a cool design and feels cool in your hand so the blade was worth the 10 bucks I shelled out for itWould you recommend this to a friend? No

Reviewed by Tom Homer from Indianapolis, IN on 23-Mar-2012SKULL BAD TO THE BONE
Rating5 star5
This Skull Knife is a shade smaller than the other two United Tailwind assisted knives that I bought from Bud K but just as good. The skull goes with my Harley, perfectly, riding down the boulevard. This knife, like my other two, is built solid with thick steel liners under the aluminum handles and locks up TIGHT with no movement anywhere on the blade. The blade comes out like a bullet! The knife has weight to it and the blade is SHARP! It is a superb liner-lock in every way, shape, form, size, strength, looks, quality, and the price is outrageously low! (Don't tell Bud K) It's bad to the bone! Trust me...if you're bad or even a nice guy like me, you'll love it.
