This blade was just too cool to pass up - and I'm glad I decided to get it. The K-Bar style stacked leather gives a good grip and the blade is thicker than I expected. It only took a bit of work with a stone and strop to put a very sharp edge on it and it has held its edge well. The serrated portion of the blade I could live without as it seems likely to wear the sheath and is of little use in my opinion. But, all things considered, this blade is a great value, functional and just looks too darn cool!Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Good value in a short sword. Good materials have provided a sword that handles well and should be enjoyed for a good while. The handle makes the sword for me, as always at SG value for your money.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

The sword has a little saw cut that catchs on the sheath. Other than that, Back 40- chop, water bottles-chop. JimWould you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I bought the 1942 Leather neck sword as it is the mate to the USMC machete Tanto fighting knife that I recently bought and like very much. The blade on my sword was sharp when I got it. I have hand honed swords before and they are lots of work so was relieved this one was sharp. My swords hilt was a bit loose because of a gap on the sides between the hilt and blade. My fix for this problem is JB Weld cement swaged in the crack between the hilt and blade. Once you install that and wait over night there is no more wiggle room and the hilt cannot move anymore. The pommel on mine was tight. It had however some chips in the paint around the rim of the pommel so I did a bit of touch up painting and it looks great! It all turned out very solid and am happy with it especially at the price. It is a good sword for home protection, back packing, any outdoor activity where you feel the need for protection and want an edge that is even longer than it's counter part, the USMC machete Tanto fighting knife. I recommend them both.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I'm a bit confused by this blade...one side of me loves it, the other side of me thinks it's seriously lacking in heft and slashing ability. The leather wrapped handle is nice and being two handed is a big plus. However, when you wield this, you'll find it's very, very light. That's great from a stabbing point of view, much like a rapier...it's tip is very sharp and it doesn't feel like it'll take much effort to run someone all the way through with it. But, as a machete, as a tool for hacking tree limbs and brush out of your way, I just don't think it has the weight nor the width of blade to do it well, even two handed. Overall, a great stabbing weapon...great handle...but this is not a machete nor should it be used as one.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Long overdue fusion of Marine Corps combat knife and Ninja "To" short sword. Length is ideal and the leather washer stacked grip is long enough for two handed techniques. Build quality and aparent strength are very good value for the money and it really came "Wicked Sharp".Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

This sword is an excellent value. I especially like the leather grip handle. Blade comes sharpened to a keen edge. The nylong sheath leaves something to be desired. For the money though any other type of sheath would raise the price. As a practical sword it has only one use and that is as a weapon. God forbid that we should return to that type of weapons. I would recommend this sword to my family and friends without a doubt.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
