I purchased this bow a few years ago and its still going strong. I prefer the Avalanche bows as they are more basic and simple to replace and fabricate parts for.For instance the prod or bow portion of the crossbow can be replaced by most bow companies or even manufactured in a machine shop if you have access to one. With a little bow wax this groups very well when firing (within 5-8 inches when sighted properly), even more so with a decent scope or even reflex sight. Though you will get a work out cocking it, but nothing wrong with a little upper body beef up now is there? Its relatively quiet, especially properly maintained but does exude a small kick but nothing near a firearm. This bow is even powerful enough to take down average game, such as deer, pig, rabbits, or even a zombie for all you Daryl fans out there. The one downside to this bow if any at all is the bolts it comes with. I use them for target practice as they tend to be "off" sometimes, and i would strongly suggest getting longer bolts/arrows for this as its worth the investment. Ive used mine to hunt small game with razor arrow heads and it does the job quite All in all this bow can stand toe to toe with the pricey compound bows from Barnett for a fraction of the price, and are far easier to replace parts and repair/maintain. This bow has earned its place with my bug out gear.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

this is a good strong bow but after about 50 shots the prod starts to crack other than that it is a good hunting crossbow and you can get a 150 lb prod from Barnett that will fit perfectly
