This 1918 WWI replica trench knife is an exact copy of the one issued to troops during the first World War. Since trench warfare was such gruesome, close-quarter battles, the trench knife allowed soldiers to not only stab but also bludgeon enemies with the knuckle guard handle. Features:

  • 6 3/8" AUS-6 stainless steel double-edged blade
  • Sheath sold separately
  • 11" overall

I have a real WWI trench knife and this is a great copy, although the handle seems to be zinc instead of bronze. A coat of paint will cover a multitude of sins. Has a goo blade and should function as designed. I like it!Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

This is a pretty nice piece of steel for the price. The blade is kind of low quality - the point of mine was rather porous but the fit to the handle was tight and the blade was also rather sharp. It is Chinese stainless steel and this is not a heavy duty field knife but neither was the original!!! :D The handle is nice and heavy but not solid brass (one corner was mashed and scratched and you could see the pot metal underneath). The finger holes of the brass knuckles are pretty good sized. The sheath is thin metal and initially the friction fit was tight. However, a few minutes sliding the blade in and out resulted in no friction and the blade just falls out. The scabbard has two prongs on the back to secure it to the web belt, just like the original.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

This knife's okay. Has no edge out the box but that's easily fixed with a Samurai Pro knife sharpener! I rated it 3 stars solely because it's not "full tang" like a true combat knife should be. And believe me, I've looked everywhere for one and there isn't any manufacturers out there who will make it like LF&G and HD&S did in 1918 with the original Mark I. Gorilla Glue works well to seal up the cavity in the handle.

overall good knife looks and feels great. the dagger itself is bolted to the skull crusher and it easily loosens so then the knife is loose. other then that good knifeWould you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I was very impressed with the quality of the knives. I really feel these could be used in a personal defence situation. You can't beat the fact they just plain look cool, also. Another win from BudK.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Sharp out of the box. Has good weight to it. One good swing and the brass would knock out anyone. The skull crusher is impressive, broke up my dog's beef marrow bone with one hit. It's a good buy at $20, but BOGO made it an even better deal.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

The blade is dull, stainless steel, made in china. The fit is good with the blade, the knife will make a nice display unit to help round out a WW1 collection. Those who have seen it are impressed with its heft and design, overall a good value. The scabbard is a bit of flimsy stamped steel but works for display...Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

This is actually a pretty cool knife 1. It's Sharp, 2. It has Brass Knucles, and 3. It has a point on the handle that could do some damage. Over all it's cool as a WW1 military memoriabilia. I think military buff, This is one knife you'll want.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
