I got this sword a few weeks ago and it is awesome! Comes pretty sharp but I put a better edge on it. At first it was really hard to draw from the Saya but after a few times it does just fine. It has a very beautiful handle and great detail even though it's not the traditional katana design. One review says the tsuka is a little thick from the leather wrap but it's not at all it's a regular width for a katana. Another review also said it was a bit heavy but that's not true either, it's the same weight as any other real katana. I got the shinwa black knight Damascus katana (ninja-to) and its a great sword as well but this one puts it to shame! The sword is just amazing and I couldnt ask for a better battle ready katana at a better price. I've done alot of backyard cutting with it since I got it and it amazes me every time. Ps. The pictures don't do the sword any justice. It is truly a masterpiece you would have to see in personWould you recommend this to a friend? Yes

This sword has a standard length handle that is a tad thick with the leather. The blade is a inch over average length and has a heavy guard, which is why previous posts have said the blade feels heavy I'm sure. The swords top notch the fittings are tight, the metal passed cutting and bend tests without a hiccup . Only seen 3 swords in the hundred or less category even come close to this level.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

this sword is an amazing katana. it is slightly heavier than my others but this is a katana that will have your friends jealous. it is tight in the saya at first but it later finds the perfect fit. when in a slow practice with shikyo and one other katana, the edges accidentally met yet there was not a scratch on it(the other has a notch). if you take good care of this sword and keep it oiled, it will remain sharp and beautifulWould you recommend this to a friend? I got this sword as a birthday present and it is okay. I personally think it could be a little less expensive. It's unusually heavy and has a bit of a difficulty drawing it from the Saya; it needs a bit more umph than usual. I don't see how it could be drawn with the thumb. However, That being said, its very nice on the eyes. The black finish on the Saya is glossy and nice, and the tsuka (handle has a nice grip, although it's a little short for my preference. All that aside, however, it is a pretty nice sword. I have another from united which is my all-time favorite but I'm not sure bud K sells the product anymore, much to the dismay of many. But this is quite nice and I would probably buy it again.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
