I like the knife fills good in the hand came sharp out of the box removed paint off the spine to get a spark off fire starter
- Sharp out of the box
- seems sturdy
- decently fast assisted opening
- pretty light weight
- The handle is made of plastic, and as a result the handle for the fire starter is also plastic. The first time i pulled it out and tried to spark it, the rod flew off and i had to find it.
- I also was not able to spark it at all, but i'll just give them the benefit of the doubt and say i havent found the sweet spot yet.
- Its rather large, but again its light weight makes up for the bulkiness
You get what you pay for, 2 knives for $10 and its overall function as a knife is pretty good. The fire starter is a great idea, just wish it was implemented better, perhaps if it were a single piece or if you could screw down the rod. Would have liked a few more metal bits to make it feel a little less... cheap? but as stated before, it seems sturdy enough to not fold in on your fingers while using it. Would i recommend? sure, its an ok knife for practical usage. Would i recommend going full Bear Grylls with this knife? Absolutely not, dont cheap out, this wouldnt last a solid 3 days of light camping much less weeks of heavy camping.
Its amazing that you can get 2 knives for 10 dollars.
Me and my friend split this together (5 bucks each) and both got a good quality knife.
When looking at the little handle on the fire starter I noticed the tip of the handle looked like a little whistle. Well I checked it out, and IT IS! So there you go another survival feature that came as a big SUPRISE! It is not a really loud whistle, but it could make the difference in the wide open spaces for survival. This knife is sturdy, and I am not at all disappointed.
HERE IS HOW TO GET FIRE STARTER TO WORK. PLACE THE EDGE OF BLADE ON FIRE STARTER AT ABOUT 45 DEGREE ANGLE OR SOME WHAT LESS NEAR HANDLE OF FIRE STARTER. SLIDE EDGE DOWN FIRE STARTER FROM HANDLE TO TIP. EDGE SCRAPES OFF A LITTLE OF FIRE STARTER AND CREATES SPARKS. SUGGEST PRACTICE "SLOW AND SMOOTH" INCREASING SPEED UNTIL IT IS EVIDENT HOW CAN MOST EASILY BE DONE. MAY DULL BLADE A BIT. IF NOT DONE SMOOTHLY AS SUGGESTED BLADE CAN NICK FIRE STARTER. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
Your knives are Great Quality and do what you say they do too .. Once I found your company I wouldn't buy a of the type of product as what you have from anyone else !!!!
