This handy little fixed-blade terror hangs conveniently from your neck via a durable black nylon cord attached to a molded ABS sheath. The full-tang, razor-sharp 3” 3Cr13 stainless steel tanto blade snaps securely into the sheath, leaving its ergonomic ABS handle exposed and at-the-ready. Love my knife. The whistle is so freaking loud.
I would call this knife, and it's cousins in other colors, an utter joke if it wasn't for the "price tag" meriting a more balanced review. If 3 stars means a "good" product, then that's all this knife is - good. I could say that I got a fluke, however, I bought 3 of these - rainbow, gold, and black(same manufacturing, just different branding) finishings, and ALL 3 of them could easily be squeezed with a tight fist, with zero danger if cutting in to my hand. I don't expect "razor sharp" because it's...at the time of my purchase...$2.98. I expect it to be razor sharp because that's what I read in the description at the time of my purchase, and that's what I am reading again today as of April, 21 2018. I give money for "razor sharp" - 3 times...I do not receive "razor sharp, I in return do not give 4 or 5 star review. Now, the marriage between the knife/knives is PERFECT. Audible click security, and the lanyard is, well...so so. It has a slight "stretch feel to it before there's enough tension for it to actually release the blade. Only a few test draws, but it has yet to break or come untied. Back to the blade: I tried heavy - HEAVY sharpening to give this thing a true edge, and I just cannot get there. It's improved, but this is only prepared for butter as far as "blade" is concerned. So, what you do have is a precision point "bludgeon" tip that would certainly hurt someone if hit in say...a boney chest area. Knock the wind out, yes. Stab? Not in it's current state. Bottom line, I prefer precision descriptions, but it is a $2.98(for me) knife.
