Ordered this stove last year. I have used it on several camping and hiking trips. I love how compact the set is and that i have the option of using the solid fuel tabs as well. I would recommend to anyone who hunts, camps, and hikes. And as an emergancy stove as well. Plan on taking it on a three week outing soon. I know it will hold up to the challenge. KS

Killer Cook Set Reviewed by Cal Atkinson on Sep 05, 2015   5 out of 5

I have been wanting this set for a while and picked it up on one of the awesome 30% off sales. I was not dissapointed this is an excellent backpacking set. Every piece is high quality, well made, very light, and fits perfectly together. I bought this to use mainly as an alcohol burner. I purchased Heet at Walmart in the yellow bottle for $1. Heet burns very clean, very hot, and the bottle is leak proof in my pack. Also, Heet does not blacken the bottom of the pot and has no bad smell. The esbit tabs burn black and smell pretty bad. I am at 6,000 feet and obtained rolling boil on 24oz right at 12 min. I only fill the burner approx. 1/3 capacity (1oz) with fuel which works out perfectly. The entire system and performance is excellent. Very well planned and thought out. The main pot alone was worth the $30 I spent. I will buy more for gifts for my fellow light weight backpackers. Also, great to keep in a go bag or vehicle for a hot meal.

Multiple pieces that fit together well and take up very little room in a pack. You can easily fix the slight rattle by packing in some cleaning clothes. You will need them in the end. This is a great set that gives you a lot of value for the money. Don't be without this one on the trail.

The set does fit together very nicely for carrying. It rattles but that is easy enough to correct. I'd like to see some instructions for using the Alcohol Burner. I like it.

This is a great addition to any camping or hiking or emergency gear. The versatility of fuel tabs or alcohol makes it a great piece of gear. Easy to store in the bag with all the pieces nesting together. Small enough for backpacking without adding to much weight. I found the best price here at Bud K .

It is light. That is it's only good feature. Fuel tabs do not provide enough heat to sustain a true boil and leave a filthy residue on the cooker and pots.Alchol is slightly better but the canister is not big enough to hold enough fuel to really cook. I have had one other alcohol stove before and now I think I'll bring it out of storage beacause it is superior to this stove. I won't say I wasted my money because the cup and pot that came with it are really nice with easy to see gradations.

good buy Reviewed by shane on Feb 20, 2014   5 out of 5

very nice cook set. lightweight and big enough to put a MSR 20oz cup inside with room to spare. the burner works very well and is well made. I like to use the small cans of sterno in the stove as they take up less space than the burner, are almost spill proof and burn much longer. worth every cent.
