On the style side of the equation, the Kershaw EDC Speedsafe Vedder Pocket Knife features an attention-getting handle treatment. The steel handle is titanium-carbo-nitride coated in soft matte grey. But then Kershaw added two 3D-machined G-10 overlays that not only look great, but also enhance your grip. On the performance side, the 3 1/4” 8Cr13MoV blade offers a razor edge that lasts, while still making re-sharpening easy. SpeedSafe assisted opening ensures access to the blade is always fast and easy — and only one hand is needed to have your blade work ready. A solid frame lock secures the blade open during use and a reversible, deep-carry pocket clip lets the knife ride low in your pocket for security.

This is a new design in Kershaw's 2017 product line and I watched a couple YouTube reviews on this knife before purchasing it through BUDK. I own several other Kershaw knives and I have nothing but great things to say about the quality and value of any Kershaw product I've purchased. Although I favor US made products, even the Kershaw models manufactured in China have proven to be every bit as solid and reliable as the US manufactured models. This knife is no exception. I love the design of the scales -- not only are they aesthetically attractive, the knife feels good in my hand. The profile of the handle fits perfectly in my hand. The deployment action is fast and smooth and the blade locks up rock solid at full battery. The blade arrived razor sharp right out of the box. I have fallen in love with this knife and it will probably become my new EDC.
