I liked this Linder commando knife. The blade is very thin, pointy & fairly sharp. I was expecting the blade to be stamped Solingen Steel as suggested by the Linder Logo in the photo, not so. It is made in China. The handle & pommel are non-magnetic metal, aluminum perhaps ? It is a well made Replica. I totally dislike the sheath. It is leather as stated, but thin, flimsy & needs to be replaced with a REAL sheath worthy of the knife. How about it BudK ?

Excellent replica of a 3rd Pattern WW2 Fairbairn-Sykes British Commando Knife at half the price of a comparable replica from another source. The sheath is good also. With the money I saved I was able to get two other British Commando knives from Bud K. One is a good copy of a 2nd Pattern F-S WW2 Commando knife, the other I gave to my grandson. He thought it was great.

The handle of the knife is longer than other models, thereby allowing for more effective use of the pommel. The blade is strong and very sharp.

This knife is an excellent replica of the famous Fairbane commando knife but that is what it is...a replica. Well constructed but the blade is thinner than the original and I think if it were actually used it would bend or break. Other than that, I like it. The sheath is ok but not of the same weight or quality as the original and the metal tip on mine was a little to flat and I needed to widen it to get the knife back in smoothly. The knife has an extreme point on it and snags on the inside of the sheath at the tip if it's not wider. All in all, very good for the price.
