A New Antique Pick Reviewed by Lee on Nov 12, 2014   5 out of 5

A New antique he says? Yep. The quality is every bit as good as a couple of old ice picks I have had for over 40 years that were made in the 1950's. Ice picks have thousands of uses, so they are more useful than just for chipping ice. Have a salt shaker that does not want to dispense enough salt, open up the holes with a pick just a bit. Toothpicks not stiff enough to repair a snag in your blue jeans? Use the ice pick. The handle is square, so it won't roll off the counter top when you set it down. This is the ice pick you will want to put in the top drawer, and retire your old one to the workshop for project work. Heck, at this price for the quality, buy two!

Very effective Reviewed by Carl on Dec 05, 2013   5 out of 5

This a well made and sturdy piece of equipment. Up until now I have been forced to use a screwdriver to break up ice blocks. A few days after it arrived I used it on a chunk of ice in an outdoor Christmas tree stand. It made short work of the ice. Then later I used it to break u p a 10 pound block of ice for a party. This is so much more effective than a screwdriver. It is easy to use and penetrates the ice very quickly. It quickly was put at the ready in our wooden knife block in the kitchen. It will last us for years. No more screwdrivers.

ICE PICK - USA Reviewed by Tom Homer on Apr 25, 2013   5 out of 5

I just got this ice pick today and I realize that an ice pick is an ice pick and there isn't much you can write about them, right... I was very happy to get this ice pick and needed it for various jobs. It is 100% made in the USA by Ontario Knife Co.(even the packaging is made in America) and is top quality carbon steel with a nice smooth wooden handle and grips comfortable in your hand. I will use this pick to punch holes in leather making knife sheaths, for chipping ice cubes, of course, but also to reach into a tea kettle spout to open up the pouring holes that fill in with lime over time. It is perfect for that use and is long enough to reach down into the spout or from the inside of the tea kettle. This ice pick will come in handy in a kitchen drawer or in a tool box! So, in reality, not all ice picks are the same, after all. This one is top of the line so be picky about your ice picks and buy this one! Happy trails.
