Product Description
You'll think you’ve hit the lottery every time you pick up this 3-in-1 Multifunction Hatchet! It provides you with a quality hatchet, hammer and crow bar - all in one handy piece. The metal body has a nonreflective black finish with a comfort grip handle to keep it from slipping out of your hand. It’s an ideal size at 13" long overall. You can chop, hammer and pry practically anything with this exceptionally designed 3-in-1 Multifunction Hatchet!
I've had one of these before. I'm not sure what happened to it but I found it on BUDK again for $5.99! This is a great tool for camping- pounding tent stakes and prying up tent stakes. I would recommend trying to put an edge on it with a file because it is cast iron and you'll never get there with a sharpening stone. It can be used to chop small branches for firewood. Just don't pound nails with it or it could fragment. Get two for the price of one on Black Friday!!!

"Six bucks, really?"
Fair quality, need to sharpen hatchet blade and so on. I have loved these since they first appeared in the 60's, I think they were 6 bucks back then too and they didn't have the nice rubber handle. Not the greatest quality but they work and I've never been afraid to use them for jobs I would not EVER use a real hatchet or hawk for -- cutting wire, working in salt water etc. Perfect for survival pack, toolbox, car -- anywhere they will not be your primary chopping tool but also have need for hammer and pry bar. Incidentally, I'm not buying this one because the others were worn out, but because they were stolen by (at least one) person who told me what a POS it was and that I wasted my money - before he STOLE it. So I'm stealing one back from BUDK for 6 bucks. Thanks BUDK!

Great Buy
This is such a great buy. This hatchet is made with cheap metal but it comes very sharp and holds. I have tested it on small trees (about 3-5 inches thick) and it works great. It is very useful and I am thinking of buying another one. Do not think twice about this hatchet. It's only 6$ and is an awesome tool. Once again, THANK YOU BUDK

COOL TOOL
Hey-this is a primitive looking mixture of coolness.Homemade it looks. not refined and no sharp lines but, very interesting.very rough looking with crummy paint and not fine workmanship. Remember the ugly duckling that became a beautiful swan; well this wont be but, Its different and can be used.I like em.I bought 10 of them. *****five stars for being different, but cheap.Jerry Hines AKA the knife man....Lakeland Florida

Awesome
Very awesome. The only problem with it is that the hammer part was a little crooked so instead of it being like (|), it was like this (/) but it is stil good.

Nice
Solid and functional. But it came slightly rusted and i had to file those spots out. The metal looks as if parts of it were corroding but were covered with the black finish. Nevertheless, it serves its purpose well
Bought 4 of these for myself and family. Perfect at the price for your "Get Home Bag". Heavy enough but not to heavy, short enough to fit in the backpack or jump bag but not to short to get the job done.

This is a good axe it does come dull but its not to hard to sharpen the metal looks rough up close but its not to bad the only thing I really didn't like is mine came with a small chip in the axe part

nice tool but
the few things that i did not like about this are 1,it was not sharp 2,it does not come with a covering so once you do sharpen it you have to make a case or try to find one for it haven said that over all it makes for a good cheap tool to have in your home/car/B.O.B. would i buy another yes i would

multi tasking item
This item would have been perfect if the axe part had a sharp blade instead of dull. Nevertheless, it has purpose. I put it in my car as a gadget to be used ion an emergency when in a wreck or in deep water, etc. It could have been given a higher rating by me if it was either sharper or heavier.

Not Like The BudK Photo
The tool I received looked nothing like the perfectly painted, perfectly smooth, blemish and defect free BudK photo. The tool I received had paint dripping marks, and hundreds of pits from the sand casting mold. The tear drop shaped hole in the handle, meant to be used as a nail puller was malformed with too much residual steel, it's working edge too dull to do the job. It took twenty minutes of careful filing with a fine rat tail file to make this feature serviceable. I purchased an identical tool from a base exchange about fifty years ago and carried it for decades. I paid less than a dollar for it. The quality of that tool, compared to this one, was several orders of magnitude better. If you're not picky about appearance, this tool will get the job done.
