This is great for first crossbow. First shot is worth it. Price is amazing for what your getting. It is a 80LB Crossbow but the product shows it as a 70LB Crossbow. You'll need a second pair of hands to string this as well. Great buy all around.

nice crossbow
Man I have to start by saying I love budk everytime I get some money I go shoping here..... now what that said I will talk about this crossbow, I just got it today and I like it a lot. When I orederd it I knew I would need more bolts so I got 2 more packs of 5 so I had 12 because it comes with 2 and I used a tiedown strap and made short work of stringing the crossbow by myself went outside and broke the frist bolt by not knowing how strong it was going to be and that is why you get more bolts for it......this will make a great crossbow for my zombie killing kit.......lol.....so be safe, have fun, and keep calm and kill zombies

Important! They do not tell you this...<br />Crossbow Specs-<br />Crossbow width: 17 1/2 Inches<br />Crossbow length: 19 1/2 inches<br />Crossbow height: 6 Inches<br /> Differences between picture, and actual product<br />In the picture it say "cobra System on the bow", has a picture of a Cobra with a yellow background on the back for the emblem, and the sights are adjusted in the back. On the the actual product it will say "Mini Cross Bow" on the Bow, it has "Avalanche (R)" on the back emblem seeing as to this is an Avalanche product, and the Sights are slightly different. As well as the actual Crossbow being an 80 lbs Crossbow.<br /><br />Pros-<br /><br />Light<br /><br />Cobra system cocking mechanism<br /><br />Low price, high quality<br /><br />Accurate (Enough to send a Bolt through the back of another Bolt at about 20 feet)<br /><br />Auto Safety for every cock<br /><br />Silent for a Crossbow<br /><br />Cons-<br /><br />When Bolts hit a tree, they will penetrate enough so you will not be able to get them back. (Luckily it is accurate enough so you don't miss often)<br /><br />The instructions are not very clear, and could lead to miss communication, and improper construction of the Bow.<br /><br />Other Notes-<br />It is a great Crossbow! I have one, my father has one, and we have family friends have have had the same Crossbow for 20+ years, and have only needed to replace the strings in those years.<br /><br />It's a great deal, good for fun skeet shooting or light hunting such as animals that might be in your very own backyard. Make sure to take care of her, and she will last forever. Be sure to look up proper care, or take a course if you're around any that are offered.

It was a pain to string, but I see why. This thing has some kick. It went clean through a vinyl fence and through a yard to stick into the other vinyl fence. I just need to buy some more arrows because they break too easy.

This thing is amazing... It is powerful... A little inaccurate at first but when you practice and adjust the sights this thing is deadly... I tested it on a metal cake pan and it punched holes in it but didn't stick... I didn't expect it to make a dent... Make sure you buy extra bolts for this because you will break/lose them when testing it's strength... Easy to cock back because it has a built in cock mechanism and it even has a safety... Pretty easy to string if you are strong enough to push down the bow...

Awesome crossbow. Although I would buy with the 12 pack of darts. I've already lost one of mine.

Really nice crossbow, my first 1 and i like it, it's powerful enough to go like 1-2 cm into wood when u shoot. A bit hard to put together (yes it comes apart but if u read instructions and have someone to help you put the string on then it's ain't all that bad) a really nice crossbow and fun as well, i recommend it to anyone whose interested in buying a crossbow for fun

A Very Good Crossbow
I was nervous about ordering any of these 'cheap' crossbows, as I needed something to hunt Whitetail deer, and I was concerned none of these bows would be good enough. I couldn't afford a 'real' hunting crossbow, however, so I ultimately went with this Trailblazer Tactical, as it has the highest FPS rating of all of Budk's crossbows, and is also made of solid steel.

It's my first crossbow I didn't have any problem putting it together or Stringing it Shot one Arrow from it seems pretty good as a first crossbow I would recommend it

one of the best
At first when i opened it i was happy to see that it was not as bulky as my neighbors and was a higher pounds and was lighter to. He got his out and shot it at a tool shed and his arrow went only a few inches in and he had weighted arrow and a hunting tip and my new smaller non compound crossbow went to the feathers and the practice tip fell off of the end. though the power is amazing it also helps make it harder to find the arrows that miss or the ones that ricochet and also the sights and the trigger are off. but this is a good weapon and it did show up a 400$ compound crossbow.

Its pretty good
I brought this cross bow just for something I could add to my survival equipment that could act as protection and hunting. I think this is going to be great for that as long as I buy a few more back up strings. I took the bow with me on a camping trip this weekend and shot it at a tree about 20 feet away and the arrow got stuck about 3 inches in. I knew I would loose the arrow but I was anxious to try it. I put it in the car and when I came back the next day I found my sight thing (the twist thing that controls the X axis laying on the seat) I will contact budk about this but I was going to replace it with another sight anyway.... other then that its awesome ;]

I like it a lot! Only thing is that Instead of saying Cobra System, mine says Mini cross bow. Also, instead of it showing a picture of a cobra on the side, Mine...doesn't, it says Man Kung. Haha, what the hell does that mean? And well, Only trouble is putting the string on, and well, the rest is easy. I enjoyed firing it because I felt good. I ordered a big shipment and it came today! Truely impressed with TS.

the paint finish is less than what i had expected. some chips here and there and over spary on other parts. just a real shotty job on the paint. looks aside this is a great crossbow for the price. i shot into aluminum street sign that i had at a range of 15 feet. punched a hole right through it. it took two shots to make the bolt penetrate fully. this crossbow is LETHAL. <br /><br />stringing it for me was a two man job. some huffing and puffing and maybe alittle grunting to string it. perhaps i wasn't doing it right. but there you go, a good crossbow for the price.
