Product Description
Quietly stalking a great white-tailed buck in the forests of the smokey mountains, an early American settler knew he could count on the lone tool strapped to his belt after the kill. This beautiful Southwestern Buffalo Bowie knife alludes to earlier giant knives that were used for any task you could throw at them. From splitting wood for fires, to cleaning big game, this bowie knife is ready for action!
Fine example of an early Classic Bowie. Great for modern day Mountain Men & Collectors. My 2 Bowies are fine examples of Blade smiths in Pakistan. Both my Bowie came very sharp out of the box. The sheath is a thin leather/ that would not hold up in use. It is more of a storage case. Well made & solid knife. I like its rugged & classic look.

Strong and heavy...
All In all a very good knife. It seems strong and well put together. Both of mine required a vigorous cleaning and polishing of the brass but they shine like a new dime now. The sheath is light but adequate and I am quite happy with this purchase. The BOGO sale made it especially nice. I only dropped a star because of the necessary cleanup but this knife is a great buy.

"Bowie Knife ""NOT"""
Stag Bone Bowie Knife also called the SouthWestern Buffalo Bowie... This Bowie looks more like a big kitchen knife than a real Bowie. While it is a nice full tang out to the edge of the grip design, the handle and the guard is way too small for the size of the blade. The blade is cut off square with the edge extended and the short handle and undersized guard makes for a dangerous situation if you push the knife into anything firm, your hand could easily slide past the guard and you can find your fingers right in line with the blade edge. Another really noticeable deficiency with this knife is the sheath. while it's re-enforced with rivets, the leather is just folded over and is of the lowest quality. The securing strap is ultra light duty like it was made for a much smaller knife. Over all this discounted knife could have been made much-much better for say $19.99 like the Timber Rattler Western Outlaw Bowie Knife, my favorite in the Big Cheap Bowie Knives here...
