Product Description
You always have your keys with you, so why not always have a defense weapon as well. This mean steel serpent kubaton looks like a harmless keychain but it's the perfect solution to never having to go anywhere without a defense weapon.
This is a nice kubotan design it is shorter than the traditional kubotans which is excellent for concilability (an oversized stick protruding from a keychain will sure get everyones attention and do not talk about the black or metallic colors that scream look at me). The design is really cool and add to the concilability factor of this kubotan. Since it is pointy it will not serve as a compliance or striking tool (less lethal means) and it will serve to respond to an attacker (that is intending to do harm right away) and all that you have in your hand is your set of keys (with this kubotan) . The small knife inside is pretty small but it can serve to convert your kubotan in a short kind of full tang knife (kind of because it is interconnected by a screw section that could fail if a lot of pressure is put upon) if you have enough time to assemble it (all in all a weapon in hand is better than no weapon at all to improve your chances of survival during a dangerous confrontation). Really nice kubotan for the price.

Very impressed
I like this thing a lot. It's a little shorter than I'd like because I have large hands. It was a good weight to it and is just a really cool looking key chain to the untrained eye. Be warned...the point is much sharper than other kubaton I have seen/ owned. It will break the skin. Do not put it in the same pocket as your cell phone...it looks as though it will have no problem cracking a screen. The concealed blade is a nice little bonus and actually has a decent handle when it's screwed together.

One of BudK's best items at the best price.
I've been trying to find the right discrete personal defense weapon for quite some time and this kubaton was too good a price to pass up. I love it. It's got serious weight to it and the point is incredibly sharp. I was stupid on the first day I got it and absentmindedly put it in my pocket. It cracked the screen on my phone! I was too impressed to even be mad, and it was time for a new phone anyway. (Got a sweet upgrade so it all worked out.) If you connect with a hit using this kubaton it will probably end the fight. The hidden knife is great too. I use it as a utility knife at work and it's ideal for that task. You have to work to keep an edge on it, but I'd rather have a thick, hard blade on a knife this small rather than something that will snap off so it's a fair trade. This is a purchase you can't go wrong with.

Nice for the price
Once again surprised at how nice even the cheap products come! It was heavier than I expected and although the blade was thin it was very sharp and was not flimsy! Giving this as a gift and I'm confident it will be enjoyed.

Love it!
This is amazing! I recamond this to anyone who wants a sweet self-defense knife! (sorry for spelling errors)

Steel Serpent Kubaton with Dagger
Dollar for Dollar, which is less than $4, this kubaton, is the best value at BUDK. It looks bad a**, although small it looks as though much damage could be done, all the while looking like a decorative keychain fob. I plan to buy more of them.

the edge of the blade isn't particularly sharp, but will certainly get the job done in a sticky situation, and the point is extremely sharp. I've accidentally set myself to bleeding trying to clean my nails on more than one occasion. the spike on the other side of the blade works good for a quick reactional blow, but not much more. glass breaker maybe. the tip chips easily on it. the dragon pattern around the handle itself is great. (side note, when the blade is removed from the handle you can screw the spike into the handle to form a longer handle for your blade.)

This thing shipped in super fast and couldn't have come in better condition! It came to me razor sharp! Makes me feel plenty safe heading downtown at night!

very awesome! fully what i expected, and also a message to all owners of this item the blade can be pulled out and the kubaton spike can be put inside the kubaton and turned into a knife w/ a long handle. great!!!

Great For Self Defence
Ok I've been looking for a decent Kubaton. With some attitude to match me. Being a security guard, you need some personal self defense against violent individuals. I found all I need in this Kubaton. I think the blade is useful but have found no real need for it. If you ever wanna get an attackers attention quick. Just jab this Kubaton's sharp tip into some hard muscle points. They will think twice. If that doesn't work some quick jabs to the boney areas of the body works as a great, painful, attention getter. Thank You Bud K!

Serpent Kubaton-Knife
Post 911, it's tough to find self defense implements which can be carried here in NYC without landing oneself in trouble with law enforcement, who are understandably more strict in enforcing relevant local ordinances such as 4 inch blade lengths for pocket knives, for example. If one peruses this site they can see that many of the items offered cannot be sold/shipped to NYC, edged throwing implements and certain martial arts items among them. This item, aside from it's negligible 3 dollar cost, (good lookin' BudK!!!) also swings on my key-ring everywhere I go with no problems at ALL, random transit check points, magnetometer screened buildings, I haven't had a problem at at all. I'm buying a half dozen to give as gifts for the holidays. Great Product!

Very solid construction, I am carrying it, really no need for the knife unless you want to do some serious damage, but the point is Sharp Enough though!

I just recieved this item today, the detail of the art encompassing the Kubaton is great. It is also a very sturdy product, I have put it under a few stress tests and it has performed admirably. A great buy for only $4.99

decent quality
fairly heavy and solid construction, I had doubts concerning the screwing lockup but its very tight when needed. would be 5 stars if the knife was anything more than a glorified letter opener, came completely dull for me (but who's really using the 2" blade in this thing anyhow?) Otherwise another nice purchase from BudK

Very sharp knife even sharper point. Great knife and fantastic detail on it. Omly problem is the knife sometimes falls out. I lost the blade to it that way but I will definitely have to buy it again.

Dragon Kubaton is a nice little concealed weapon
Nice little concealed weapon. Great for keychain, walking to the car or on my desk as a letter opener at work. My O washer was snapped in two as well. I didn't replace mine and it still seems to work fine. Not a bad deal for the money.

This was my first buy and was satisfied. It came dull the point is sharp though. When you unscrew and flip the blade around its easy for it to come lose I could pull it out of the handle with minimal effort.

Not bad
It's not bad. I definitely like the design. The knife inside is really not very useful. I would have liked this item better if it had either been one solid piece, or foregone the blade and allowed for a small amount of storage such as an emergency $20 bill or something.

Decent kubaton
I find the design works well to mask the purpose of the kubaton. The point on the end is quite sharp, perhaps a bit sharp to keep in one's pocket. The knife is the only real complaint, it's a decent blade, but when it's attached to the end, it tends to easily pop out of the threads. Personally, I prefer the Mini Night Watchmen, item# 17 UC0255B, which I also own.

Its a decent quality Kubaton, however when I received it, I noticed that the blade was very dull. The detail is nice but the overall quality could be better. I also noticed that the tip of the Kubaton (the pointy end) chipped easily but other than that its an ok self defense piece. I do hope though that it never has to be used.
