great big bowie
Very huge knife. Reliable and comes sharp. Great blade for the price. I see these at shows for twice the price. Don't hesitate to purchase this for a primary or a back up knife. Definitely worth the price.

This thing is a beast
This thing is a beast of a knife. It looks small in the pictures, but it is huge! Sheath is good quality, as is everything.

Good buy
Received the knife about a week or so ago. used it to go hunting Ferrell hogs with. I was able to chop at small trees and brush no problem. the knife was Sharp when I revived it but not quite sharp enough. it only took 5 mins to put a good edge on it. I would defiantly recommend this knife to some one who can not afford a big expensive Bowie knife. 1 Draw back the green plastic on handle is a little loss but the steel it is on and connected to the blade is good to go.

Great knife, just don't get lost.
Great knife. Good for survival. Can carry necessaties needed but don't get lost. Bought one, got it replaced; the compass doesn't work. Definitely a good buy if you can replace the compass.

Amazing
This is an amazing survival knife for the price it's a beast with an 11 inch blade 16 inch over all and it's pretty sharp right out of the box . i like my knives razor sharp so a few minute of sharpening will fix it. my only problem with the knife is the sharpening stone is rather flimsily and they survival kit could have been a lot better that's what a gave it 4 out 5 stars . i think budk could have added a better stone and survival kit if they would of add about 8 bucks to the price

I'm pretty please with this blade... It came pretty sharp and the sheath is nice... Everything was in the handle just like I expected... My only issue was that the compass was a bit defective... It still kinda works but I have to shake it do it to move well...

Not Too Bad
This was the first item I got from Budk last year. It was a pretty fun knife, and I really beat the hell out of it. I was somewhat disappointed that it was not full-tang. Because it was only half, it rattled a lot due to the crappy connecting between the handle and blade. One thing I noticed was that the blade was waaaaaaayyyyy too thin for the length. (keep in mind I was throwing it a lot) I had the tip bend on me a few times, so I kept heating it up and pounding it back straight. After a while I ended up re-designing it so now the blade is only 9" and looks like a Ka-bar. Lost the little survival kit somewhere along the way (sometimes the cap on the handle came off when it stuck into trees). The bandaid is ridiculous but the matches lit fine and I managed to catch a few fish with the hook and line. I had to sharpen it on a wet stone (the sharpening stone it comes with doesn't do jack) when I got it, but it kept it's edge nicely. All in all, it was well worth the 12 dollars I paid for it, and I look forward to finding another fun toy on Budk.

compass doesnt work for [expletive removed]. always gives a different direction. survival kit isnt made of much, but its a nice case its in. knife is sharp and definitely long and awesome. big "saw" back isnt at all a saw it is square and useless. second one is useful. sheath is nice. sharpening stone is a lil to thin in my opinion, but all in all a ok knife for the price

The blade was good but the the tang was spot welded to in two places the handle then ground down so the plastic cover could slide over. The welds broke when I was trying to debranch a small tree. So I am not pleased with the craftmenship.
