This knife is very very very good quality for the price you get. I will say when I got the knife I did have to sharpen it a bit, but no big deal. It's practically a baby machete in my hand! Could probably split wood with this thing if you really had to. Great survival knife.

iv had this knife for a while now n iv noticed MANY different things about it..if you take it apart youd see that itd be perfect for using as a booby trap device and also im pretty sure you can fashion it into a one shot gun with a few alterations..i dont think this is by coincidence and i thing America is in for a REAL red dawn if ya ask me

I noticed a big selling point was the cool logo on the blade, etc. Nice, but that's meaningless information to me. Talk about the knife. 440 Steel and thick, sturdy blade... extremely durable. It has an excellent non-slip grip with the diamond checkering pattern. This is awesome if you have to use it in wet, or damp conditions. It happens to have a saw-back, which is also not a big selling point with me, but the blade itself holds an edge very well. The custom sheath does hold the knife fairly secure even when inverted. It also has several (tie-down) securing points which pretty much allows just about any type of configuration you may want to use for carry. I'm, "old school" so I prefer upside down and attached to the front of a shoulder strap on an LBE harness or Alice Pack. You cannot beat the price for this high-quality knife. No complaints here, from this former Air Cav Trooper. Thumbs up boys.

Right when I got this knife I absolutely loved it. The blade was an awesome shape and really thick and since I got it when it was buy one get one free I have another one too give to a friend, it is really cool looking and has a nice feel and weight to it, the only thing was that it didn't come out of the box very sharp so I just touched it up with a stone but I would definitely recommend this to anyone, it is worth the money.

Fantastic. The blade is thick, neatly shaped, and has a very nice handle. It's also very well balanced, and the sheath is perfect. The serrations on the back work pretty well, and it's overall a very great tool to use in the outdoors. The only downside is it's very dull, and is a hassle to sharpen. Despite that, it still has a lot of good chopping power. Well made, and is all-around a great buy.

I actually got mine at at a little sword shop, paid 38 for it. This knife if so good looking and the case fits well, haven't had a problem with the case or the handle. Is is a very sturdy knife and the back saw is very nice. When I took mine out of the case it wasn't the sharpest, but it sure cut me good.

I got this knife during a large purchase and I wasn't 100% I'd like it. That all changed once it was out of the box and in my hand. You can feel the power behind this blade. It didn't have much of an edge out of the box, but once it does it will be an M1 Abriams tank!

This knife is by far one of the best products on this site! It is unbelievably sturdy, and holds an edge once you put it on. The blade is wicked, and the saw blade does its job. ( I built a shelter in 15 minutes with all the saplings I sawed with it). The sheath is heavy duty plastic, and will surpass your expectations. There is not a time when I do not have this thing on me when I'm outdoors. A trusty companion, at truly a remarkable price. If you are reading this review, I urge you to take out your credit card, and add this fine piece of steel to your bugout bag, camping pack, or collection!!!!

This is a fantastic knife for the price. Great for a bugout bag, survival kit, or camping. If you're reading this review, you should just stop and add it to your cart already. You get more than your money's worth and this knife should be priced more around its suggested retail, because for twenty bucks, this is a great knife.

The deep belly on this blade puts the weight forward, making it an excellent chopper, as well as looking very cool. I would not choose it as a full-on survival or tactical knife, because the half-tang and hollow plastic handle make it too vulnerable for life-or-death work. It does make an excellent camp knife though, and the sheath works well for me.

For the price, can't beat it. Glad to be on the business end of it. I have read alot of ppls say the blade becomes loose. All you have to do is use the right size hex wrench and tighten it at the end and all will be well. Duhhhhh..Here's Your Sign!!

This is what I expected it to be a Military Style Survival Knife thats Built for the Job. Looks Bad-A lying in the box and ready to be put to the Test!!! Pulled it out, looked it over , got the feel of it in my hand , the weight is real nice the edge needs a little touch-up the sheath fits snug and straps to my leg perfect. Glad I got the BOGO deal , its nice to know I have an extra , get this knife no matter what you PAY you'll like it.

When I saw the price of this knife and the two fer, I just could not pass it up. Even at full price, a whole $19.99 when I bought mine, I would highly recommend this as an excellent back up blade. The full tang makes it strong and the edge is pretty fair for what I consider a low cost knife. I will, however, warn you about the saw edge, don't slip. This edge will rip through flesh before you know you've been cut. It is a VERY aggressive & sharp edge. Cost+Quality+Features, I have to give this unit a 5.

This knife is amazing. I put it through its tests, and it came out above all my other knives. It has a great heft to it, definitely weighted for chopping. After testing, the knife has some cosmetic damage, but it is still solid and daunting. I keep it on my belt at all times, and I feel invincible with it. Perfect for camping, hunting, and protecting yourself from muggers. They pull out a 6 inch switchblade, I pull out this, they just run. AMAZING KNIFE!!!

Very cool knife! I was worried the case would be cheap but it was actually a nice hardned nylon one, also came with a cool belt strap in addition to the one already on the case. The knife came pretty sharp, enough to shred up the fexex box beyond repair, also the saw back on the knife was actually pretty cool. The one shot one kill motto and the S.O.G. symbol are a very nice addition. All in all very good buy, i plan on using this in the near future

This knife is very sturdy. It has a decent edge when you first get it. This is stainless steel not any carbon or Damascus. It is a great knife for the price. The blade is very thick. The serrated back edge can do a little too however should not be the reason you this knife. Good knife. Highly recommended especially for $20.

I've always considered United Cuttery a fairly solid brand. The One Shot One Kill knife fits solidly into that opinion. It has a good look and feel to it. The grip is comfortable with decent weight distribution. The sheath is a good fit for the knife and the belt loop accomodates most belt sizes. The edge on the knife was dull when it came in and needed considerable work, especially at the point. The size and weight give it somewhat limited applications; too small and light for most hacking and too large for light work. All in all, it's a good general purpose knife. A good value for the price.

I was hoping that it wouldn't be dull as other reviewers had warned, but it was. I liked the weight & feel of the blade, so before I decided to put the effort into sharpening it, I gave it a little stress test by beating it up. It held up to me throwing it (don't recommend doing that too much, weight is unbalanced) hacking at logs & using the saw back to see if it'd be of any use at all & it held up & functioned, though I would only use the saw for thin branches & what not. Worked well dull so its a keeper in my book, especially for only 20 bucks, give the knife a shot, I'm sure it won't disappoint.

A good knife comes a little dull but no biggy, one thing to check out is take an Allen wrench to the bottom and take it apart and u will realize that it is not fixed to the handle which could cause issues if u intend to chop, but besides that it wood be a good hunting knife.

Also got this as a BOGO and for the low price of $19.95 you get one heck of a knife! A thick durable blade with a nice curved edge and it just feels great in the hand. I had it sharpened at the local tactical shop and the man was very impressed himself with what I got for the money spent. Well I don't have to tell you how nice it is now that it is razor sharp. Slices through a full water bottle like butter and the saw back is very sharp right out of the box. All I can say is another winner, and considering what you get for the money I give it 5 star in the value and quality of the blade. The only drawback was the sheath. No way to quick draw this one.It could be better. Too cumbersome trying to unfasten it. I think I can alter it to my satisfaction with just a few adjustments though. But on the bright side I don't suppose you would have to worry about the blade coming out while climbing and such. Overall I am going to give this one a 4 star just due to the sheath, but the blade is a solid 5 and I would recommend this knife to anyone looking to get a great heavy duty survival knife.

I was very excited to see this knife in the buy one get one special back in 2012. However, I missed the deal that day and waited until Febuary this year for the same deal. It is a great knife and I ordered 11 of them to get 11 free. The knife itself is depended on the stock piece you get because some knives I received had flaws in them like faded paint or uneven sawback. But the knives were very sharp. In fact, I cut myself while I was trying to clean one. Sharp knife! Also here in WV ONE SHOT ONE KILL is considered very intimidating slogan which is why I got so many as gifts. BUY IT!

I was dissatisfied in the sharpness of the blade the edge was rolled. It took alot of work but it finally sharpened up.over all the balance and feel of the knife is good and very sturdy I think overall its a good buy

This knife was well made, I like the leg strap idea. The hard sheath sure can take a beating, but the belt connector came lose off the plastic. After some rope threaded back together it was good as new. As well as the serrations being done excellently, The blade stood up to much hacking thanks to that wicked curve. There is a cheaper version of this blade though, called the Elite Forces Bowie Knife.

This is a very good knife. My handle came loose after a few months but the blade's strength more than makes up for it.

Nice looking knife but it needs more weight in the handle. I won't use this for any real cutting simply because I'd be concerned for its' ruggedness when working on a hard target. For just a little more you could run the blade all the way through. I'd be willing to pay for that durability.

the blade on this knife is great quality, durable, heavy, thick.But..,the handle is completely useless..i was out side cutting some brush off of a tree the was cut down so we could use it as firewood and the handle first cracked and i thought it was fine then about 5 minutes later the handle completely snapped.thats when i realized it also wasnt full tang, yes the metal runs all the way through the knife but there is a rat weld about 1 inch into the handle

I have had this knife for around 2yrs. Actual blade is made of very hard steel and very thick, in fact it was difficult finding a sharpener that would make a dent, files work best. Black covering stays on moderately well, wears off where it rubs on the sheath or if scratched. Saw back is difficult to clean, sharpen, and too short to use effectively. Works great for big tasks like hacking branches and pumpkins, would also crush some bone. The sheath is most impressive, worth the $20 alone. The blade can become loose from the Handel, but the nut at the bottom can be tightened solving the problem. It is my outdoor and beater fixed blade. It hacks better than cuts.

Well this knife is ok... but it definitely has it's flaws! Pros: Looks cool thick blade saw on back of blade Cons: blade is of poor material finish will wear handle is not very comfortable will not sharpen well due to thickness of blade and the way they made it Rat tail tang (rat tail tang means they welded on a peice of metal to make it have a "full" tang) over all it is a cool blade to have that is fun to use on an occasion but definitely not for a survival knife. If you are looking for a good survival knife look around more for something that fits to what you will be doing.

The knife looks impressive in the box. The sheath was coming apart when it arrived, and the keeper at the top of the belt loop did not seem secure, so I did some super-gluing to fix both problems. The sheath is now functional, and the knife can be inserted either way. I took the knife apart and confirmed that it only as a partial tang, that is tensioned to the butt cap with an allen-head female screw. The handle does have a hole to accept the tang bolt, but is mostly solid plastic. I put some Lok-Tite on the screw and put it back together tight, as if you were chopping with the knife the allen screw would probably work loose eventually. I tried putting a shaving sharp edge on this knife with my Worksharp and it never got there. This tells me the steel is too soft, and of low quality. This knife may work for beating around the bush, But I wouldn't bet your life on it. It has been relegated to the saddle bag of my Harley Davidson - for emergency use only! If it gets stolen or breaks, we will only be out $20. You do get what you pay for with this knife.

The knife overall is super. The cord on the handle had to go. The scabbard is great, the clasp is very secure.(its pressed nylon, not plastic.) I got down on the bogo sale and am very haappy I did. The knife was already on my wish list so when I saw buy one get one (bogo) I was like "add to cart" it came with a bad point or tip on both, no big deal I can add one. It came on time according to the ups tracker. The rating got 3/5 because of no tip. Like I said over all the knife is super. I have been ordering from Bud K for more then 10 years. I will be ordering from Bud K for a lot longer. All the M48 gear is great!!!!

Considering price the knife is ok, screw in handle was loose so grip was loose when I went to tighten it the screw sriped. Don't care for the handle strap on sheath, could have been better quality. Blade is awesome quality.

I liked the Fact that the knife had a hard sheath unlike all my other knives, but the thing that put this knife out of action was the knife wouldn't sharpen other than that I have no other complaints. I'm a former Marine so I like being out doors and the saw back on this knife was simply amazing! It passed my feild test with eaz.

Has a heavy blade, good for chopping kindling. The handle is weak. I broke chunks out of it on the top of handle, right behind the hand guard. It is also difficult to put a decent edge on the back half of the blade

I bought this knife a while back, at first it was fine but after a while of putting it to work it became very loose. You are able to tighten the screw on the bottom but I find it a hassle to do it every time you use it. My advice is buy a full tang knife instead.

I read the reviews and saw the videos on this knife so decided to pick one up. The sheath is well-fitting and the knife inserts both ways, which is nice. However, it is a poor design, as the belt loop is not continuous and could easily be dislodged and you would lose the knife and sheath. I super-glued the belt loop connector so this won't happen, and also had to super-glue the belt loop strap to the sheath body as it was falling apart coming out of the box. Once you repair this sheath, it is serviceable. The knife is good-looking and fits well in the hand. It arrived dull and I could not put a razor edge on it with my Worksharp, which quickly puts a razor's edge on knives with good-quality steel. This tells me the steel in this knife is soft, and of poor quality. It did get sharp enough to work as a bush-beater. The saw teeth on the back of the blade work well for filing a wide groove in branches, to tie things onto, but you would be hours trying to saw through a 2" branch with this thing. I took the handle apart and put lock-tite on the tang threads and re-assembled. Otherwise the handle would probably loosen up with use. The plastic handle is hollow, but mostly solid - the hole in the handle is relatively small, so overall the knife is fairly sturdy. I would not throw this knife except in an emergency. I ended up stashing the knife in the saddlebag of my motorcycle. It is stainless steel, so probably won't rust in my lifetime. It is also lighter than a full tang knife of the same size, so would be comfortable for belt carry. For $20, this is not a bad beater knife, but be prepared to work on the sheath and don't expect razor sharpness!
