Product Description
Big, tough and astonishingly affordable, the Raptor Machete is 20" of raw, unbridled slashing power that won't cut a hole in your wallet. It boasts a razor sharp 14" clip point blade forged from resilient 3Cr13 stainless steel. Menacing ornamental serrations stud the blade spine, and a stately through-hole near the point adds a distinctive finishing touch to the monster blade. The handle is made of ultradurable pakkawood - stained a rich mahogany hue to highlight the elegant fine grain patterns beneath. The Raptor makes quick work of thick brush, tall grass and even branches and small trees. It's great for suburban backyards, remote back country and every setting in between. Thankfully, the included nylon belt sheath makes it easy to transport this colossal fixed blade in any terrain or locale. Why pay more, when the Raptor can hack it alongside machetes priced two and three times as high?
Could not pass up this machete for $10.00 and free shipping. Seems to be heavy duty and made well. Nice sheath to store it in also.

FULL TANG and READY TO RUFFLE FEATHERS!
I recently subscribed to the Knife-A-Month Club and got this beast!!!
Wow. Full tang, really sharp, beefy blade and great price!
It's handle is okay. The pakkawood is solid, but, I wrapped a paracord tightly and have no complaints about it.
I have yet to try it on trees or shrubs, but I KNOW its sharp because I knicked my ankle with it!
Thanks, BUDK! You guys are full of surprises and none have disappointed!
Its Christmas EVERY month now! :)

Thats a knife of the month
When I received my box of previous knife of the month I was surprised to see that the box was the length of my arm. I totally did not expect something like this from knife of the month club and gotta say I am satisfied. Now the thing itself does come VERY sharp out of the box. I doubted that a little and swiped with my finger along the blade and cut some skin off. The engraved Raptor logo is very cool looking and wooden handles go very well for a traditional machete look. Very nice blade

honking hunk
huge piece of metal full tang. took chunk out of old shelf just by gravify. Unless your are huge this probably should be in your pack as it would get in the way on belt. BUT if you need it then keep it handy. Good grip on handle..though little short. Like a kind of bowie/gladius. My friend was amazed at price. Cross guard good also. Not wobbly and appears to be some form of steel.. Sheath seems reasonably sturdy...but not A grade. Price wise this is good value. Even if it broke in half youd still have usable knife.
