Product Description
A new interpretation of the legendary Vietnam-style Bowie with impressive dimensions, this is truly a classic piece. It has an 8 1/8" 440 stainless steel blade with precise grinding and a polished stainless steel guard and pommel. The genuine leather handle features soft finger grooves. A leather belt sheath and sharpening stone are included. When fighting through the jungle, you need a friend you can count on. A big, impressive friend you can count on!
This blade has style forged into it. It is a very nice quality blade, very sharp, feels good to handle. It isn't a GIANT, by any means, it is a nice hunting and fishing knife. The stone is a nice touch. Yes, as noted I didn't buy it for the sheath, which is adequate for protecting the blade and your fingers from damage. But just looking at the blades refined shape is amazing. This has a certain flair to it that is unmatched in other knives. It is functional and serviceable, guts fish just fine. Cuts rope and canvas easily. I am a person that uses the right edge for a job and this one is great for fishing and skinning. NOT a tree chopper, although it most likely will do the job, get a heavy bladed knife for overall camp use and hacking firewood.

Wow! Nice!
Not as big as I expected, but it's well made and strong. Feels good on the hand, and looks good, but not so pretty that I'd be afraid to put it to work. All at a great price. Thanks, BudK!

Quality Blade
Fantastic knife, quality through and through. Sharp as can be, beautiful design. This is a beautiful knife I am proud to have. The sheath is lower quality but adequate and will protect the blade from accidental damage or from putting your finger in the wrong spot, the sharpening stone is a nice additional item. I will have to break out the leather tools and make a new sheath worthy of the blade.

Im impressed
Never ordered from Budk before, this blade was my 1st purchase. I have to say I'm impressed, a very beautiful knife and it seems to be well made. The blade is sharp but not razor sharp, which I'm okay with. The sheath is well made, the only flaw is the strap for the handle, couldn't get it to snap properly. I knew this before I made the purchase, because of the reviews(thanks guys for your reviews) WOULD I do it again HELL yeah! Actually my wife wants one, but she can wait. there R other knives I want to buy.

Will just back from a little trip opened up my box from BUDK very nice blades I bought 2 of these guys just feelt like the thing to do .The workman ship is hard to beat I don't care what you pay I have knives from 1800 bucks to 18 bucks and let me tell you this is the bang for the buck just fantastic. The sheath here is fine wearable with one problem ,good leather strong stitching the only problem with it is the closure snap is placed to close to the thunb guard makes it very tuff to put the blade back into the sheath with out looking so you do not cut the tie down strap. Other than that the sheath is better than most at this or higher priced knives. I have been making my own sheaths now for some time and will do so for these two. Also I started making the sheaths teaching my self with the help of a few sheath makers on You tube some of the sheaths sent with the mid and low range price knives lake in so many things your just better of doing it your self besides at 72 it's fun . Great buy Clint just a stunning knife from top to bottom Boker makes a life long poduct this is worthy of handing down to he young ones one day.

The perfect knife!
My lucky knife is an actual Vietnam fighter the special forces used in the Vietnam war handed down to me by a very good friend and war veteran. He had told me that one day I'll find my very own that would be perfect in every way down to weight and balance and even feels like it was made for me specifically! Well, I certainly did and this is it! Perfect balance and design. It fits my hands like the perfect ring! So nice, I'm so happy I had it engraved even! Thanks bud k!
Out of all my purchases with bud k over the years, this has to be the my favorite out of my 200 knife collection! The bastard even throws PERFECTLY AT 20 YARDS!! WTF! This blade is so beautifully made and razor sharp too,(I can shave with it!!) for $50, hell yes I recommend this knife to any buyer who is interested in purchasing a beautiful piece of modern history that is this Vietnam Fighter SF rendition forersonal use or simply adding it to their collection!
Happy hunting!! Thanks bus k for an awesome deal on a beautiful knife!! ??????????

My Boyfriend loves it.
I bought this knife for my boyfriend for our anniversary. He collects knives. This is one that he had picked out. He loves it. He wears it on his belt and takes it off to show it off too.

Nice knife for the price.
First off, let me say that this is a very attractive knife. The blade looks very nice and has some styling flourishes that set it apart from other Bowies in it's price range. The stacked leather handle looks great, feels really good in the hand, and the finger grooves provide a nice secure grip. Even the finger guard and pommel cap look really nice on this one. I'm not sure how long the tang is, but given Boker's reputation for quality, and the balance of the knife itself, I'm pretty sure it's full length. My only complaint and reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is the thin cheaply made sheath. Since I bought this as a display piece for my collection, I can do without a heavy duty sheath, but if I were actually carrying this on my belt or pack, I'd want a better sheath, even if it meant paying a few bucks extra. The tiny sharpening stone is really unnecessary, although for on the fly blade maintenance in the woods or wherever, I suppose it could be more convenient than carrying around a full sharpening system. I wouldn't go so far as to call this a giant knife by any means, it's a pretty average sized Bowie. By and large, I'm happy with the purchase. The blade is very attractive and stylish, but at a price point that you wouldn't be afraid to beat it up if you're looking for a workhorse as long as you can make or buy a more durable sheath.

Almost great
Knife good quality for the money, snap on sheath broke first time wife examined it. whetstone is smaller than photo would lead you to beleive. all in all knife is worth the money.

Boker Magnum Giant Bowie
The blade is 3/16" thick and has a very nice grind. Where it enters the guard the tang is 5/8" wide and the step down in width is quite sharp-cornered, making this the weakest area of the blade. I didn't destructively test mine, but it would be interesting to see how much force is required to break it. The top edge of the clip-point is not sharp, so it is not legally a "double-edged" knife. The handle is nicely shaped, but ideally proportioned for people with small hands. Overall, a very nice knife for <$40.

Boker Magnum Giant Bowie
I gave this knife 3 stars because the sheath is verry bad, and the knife handle is rough not the smooth feel i would think boker knives should have, it gas mill marks on the blade not a glossy blade, the knife is sharp and if the handle was smooth i think it would feel good in your hand.
