I received this beautiful knife today Like a few reviews of said I took it apart It is not a full tank Is it hefting spot welded to look for paint All in all the knife is is a Depauli The chief is made backwards I'll probably just make my own

This is a great knife you get more than what you pay for but it is much bigger than needed.

17 TR130
I bought two bowies, this and 17 TR77. I thought I give one to a friend but I like them both so much I can't decide what one. It is one big knife and can be used to cut brush its so big. on mine it says hand crafted in China SS TR130. Big handle, maybe too big for my hand size. Con's I wish the sheath was a right handed one. But I can turn my hand around to pull it that way.

"big,balenced,lite,tactical"
the Best cheap Bowie on the market and for $12. The timber rattler spiked bowie. Finally someone's making a cheap full tang Bowie that has a proper guard for parrying and blocking an opponent's blade or rifle barrel. This full tang beast possesses a near mirror finish with wood grips held on with star of David type nuts. Out of the box razor sharpness and posses TR130 stainless steel which appeared to be surgical steel. The sheath definitely leaves something to be desired as it is designed backwards however if one turns the blade in a reverse manner the blade fits and sticks out buy a few centimeters , just don't try to use the button closure. Still a usable sheath but would much rather prefer one like the turtle man bowie (swing ring, plastic insert_. ALL AND ALL.... This bowie knife possess the most important traits of swept forward guard, and, proper balance being slightly forward of the guard, and therefore being a fast blade. The sawback is beautiful and tactical in nature being meant to catch opponents blades. One should not complain that it does not saw into trees easily because that is not the design THE SAW TEETH ARE FOR CATCHING ONCOMING BLADES. It is a cheap reliable fighting blade with a guard that is absolutely fantastic for parrying (PREFER QUILLIONS). and finish was a mirror after 2 mins with mothers polish.-in short- REALLY GREAT FIGHTING BOWIE FOR $12. DEAR BUDK ...NEVER STOP CARRYING THIS BLADE.

Not bad
I paid 8.50 for this monstrous knife... how could I ever complain? Its going to become my throw away hunting knife.
Even if only last a season or two it's a great value. Also the handle is HUGE so if you have small hands this knife isn't going to be a good choice for you.

GOOD KNIFE - BAD SHEATH
The knife arrived on time, fast shipping on Bud K's part. I was happy with the knife though it was made in China, it's huge, with sharp thick blade and durable grips that were nicely done. I was unhappy with the sheath! No, I was very upset over the sheath! The sheath is made for left hand carry only and it is not a sheath made for this knife... The sheath is nylon and too long for the knife and they had to actually bend the tip of the sheath to fit it in the knife box it came in and because of the design of the sheath, the knife will not fit/seat correctly in it - real bummer... Four stars for the knife, one star for the sheath but it will work even though it's obvious the sheath is not intended for this particular knife and for that reason I would not recommend it to a friend. Happy trails.

You get what you pay for.
Indeed, you get what you pay for. If it were more expensive, I would have sent it back. Other reviewers have the same complaints I have. It came with the blade all scratched up and a rattling guard and the sheath doesn't amount to much. Recommend it? With reservations. If all you want is a utility knife, Ok for $13.

The knife BUDK sent me is scratched up and the guard is loose but it is okay for $12.99

NOT FULL TANG.SPOT WELDED
Got the timber rattler sawback bowie AND IT IS NOT FULL TANG!!!! IT IS A 2 PIECE SPOT WELDED HANDLE. LOOK AT THE GUARD AND JUST START TO WONDER HOW THAT BIG HANDLE FITS THRU A SMALLER GUARD HOLE. Plus just unscrew handle to see. I found out the hard way when it split in two in my hand. Blade almost bounced back and hit me in head (thankful i got fast reflexes ).... happy with bud k overall but not about this bowie. Dont buy.... i suggest the montana toothpick, razor sharp out of the box both times (likke shaved my arm hairs with the grain as good as my shaving razor. Check it out, promise theres nothing like it for the money and IT IS FULL TANG. Montana toothpick
