Product Description
This elegant Short Sword from Timber Wolf will add so much beauty to your collection! It features a beautiful 18 1/2" Damascus steel blade with two deep blood grooves. The wire wrapped handle is accented with a Damascus guard and pommel. Includes black leather sheath with belt loop.
Very well wrapped and protected in the box. Excellent looking Damascus knife/sword and decently heavy blade. Although listed as knife, could be a short sword. Came sharp enough for me. A little hard to get in and out of the sheath (good quality) at first but seems OK now, Keeping it well oiled since I live in a tropical area.

Awe-Inspiring Blade
Taking it out of the box, the damascus pattern left me awe struck. Stunning aesthetics! The blade is heavy making it an excellent chopper, and it comes quite sharp, slicing and stabbing through the cardboard boxes it came in with ease; though it's not the sharpest it could be. Definitely a new favourite!
Downsides: As others have mentioned, it's absolutely drenched in oil. The oiling of the blade is appreciated, but maybe some way of keeping it off the handle could be found? After getting it, be prepared to wrap some paper towels or something around the handle before you can actually use it safely!
It also keeps getting snagged when trying to put it back into the sheath. Like there's some loose threads or something on the inside?
Overall the downsides are pretty minor and easily dealt with, so it's hard to go wrong with this one!
Just a personal thing, but the way the handle slopes downwards towards the pommel makes it feel like the sword might fly out of my hand if I swing too hard. It hasn't; the metal grip wire is actually amazingly grippy (though it does start to hurt your palm after a while). But the feeling subconsciously causes some concern that it might fly away at any moment.
