If you've ever had the misfortune of crossing paths with an angry badger mother, you know it's not always the size of the beast that counts - it's the ferocity! Few things epitomize this better than Timber Wolf's Badgerclaw Skinner - a small-but-stout fixed blade with a nasty attitude. Carefully honed to a razor sharp edge, the Damascus steel blade makes quick work of a wide range of cutting jobs, from delicate carving to field dressing big game. The blade's unique spine profile provides an ideal point of leverage for the thumb, allowing for maximum control and precision. This makes the Badgerclaw especially well-suited to skinning, caping and other jobs that demand both power and finesse.
With Damascus steel, "beauty" and "bite" go hand-in-hand
The Badgerclaw is a beast in the field, no doubt, but it's an undisputed beauty, as well - perfect for display or collecting. Blanketed in a breathtaking array of ripples, waves and stratified lines, the blade's hand-forged Damascus steel is truly a sight to behold. The spectacular patterning is the result of a slow, meticulous metalworking technique with roots in Middle Ages Syria. In a nutshell, seasoned bladesmiths painstakingly fire, fold and hammer weld multiple distinct varieties of high carbon steel, steadfastly repeating the process - sometimes for days on end - until the desired layering is achieved. A final acid etching highlights the vivid contrasts in the distinct ribbons of folded steel. And speaking of contrasts, the Badgerclaw's handle is full of them!
A breathtaking blade deserves an equally impressive handle
The banded pakkwood's rustic, charmingly distressed red stain exquisitely offsets the dark sable hue of the genuine bone centerpiece, which is polished to a satiny glow to accentuate the delicate grain. Chic abalone spacers tastefully interrupt the earthy allure of the bone and pakka, adding subtle splashes of gleaming color and light. Bookending the handle, stately brass guard and pommel afford an elegant finishing touch.
Field, display or gift - there's no wrong way to enjoy the Badgerclaw
Add it to your outdoor gear and conquer the wild or show it off and make all your knife collector friends jealous - this versatile fixed blade does it all and then some! But regardless of how you enjoy it, rest assured Timber Wolf's Badgerclaw Skinner will always live up to the ferocious glory of its namesake!
