Product Description
The new Tactical Commando Knife from Bushmaster is what you want on your side when you’re braving the wild or a war zone, and, better yet, you are also getting a free skinner knife in this package! The tactical knife has a 7” AUS-8 stainless steel blade with a black matte finish. The razor-sharp, clip point blade has a sawback and the handle is a strong, textured TPR for a secure grip. The knife also features a cast metal pommel and handguard. A heavy-duty TPR leg sheath with lanyard is included. The 8 1/2” skinner knife comes housed in a TPR sheath with a belt clip.
The Good: Superior aggressive blade geometry; AUS 8 step up from 7; handle spikey enough for a good grip even when wet; waterproof sheath fairly sturdy with numerous attachment points & has a nice retaining tab if retaining strap isn't used. The Bad: Pummel poorly designed for poundin' & attacks the palm unless rigid hammer grip is used; sheath has an unnecessarily complex & cumbersome retaining strap which you'll grow to hate more & more & curiously has no drain hole in the bottom but located in the middle.

Great for price
I received my knife last night, and I am very pleased with its performance so far. They both arrived very sharp. They both exceed my expectations when it came to price. The utility knife by itself is worth more than $10. I wil say that the main knife had a rounded tip, not made as a weapon. This is a great emergency knife for $10

Pleasantly Surprised
Bought these on a whim with the free shipping offer, figuring even the small knife was worth $10 if the shipping was free; much less an additional large knife with a 7" AUS-8 blade. This is not my typical Ka-Bar, Ontario, or Tops kind of purchase; but the price for 2 knives intrigued me and piqued my curiosity. The knives I got are easily worth 5 times the price. The description says these are tactical knives; and that's true of the large one... this is not an outdoorsman or survival knife designed for or capable of chopping. This is more weapon than tool. In a pinch, if you absolutely had to get some kindling, the sawback is actually quite sharp and functional, unlike that on many other knives. That being the case, a full tang isn't really necessary; and frankly, I don't know how anyone could look at the width/circumference of the handle in the picture and think it could be full tang. I'm pretty confident the knife would hold up if used in the manner for which it was designed. The large blade is 4.5-5.0 mm thick, and is evenly ground on both sides; the coating is applied well and seems durable. The tip isn't needle sharp, but isn't "rounded off", either; it's still quite sharp. The blades on mine are both very sharp, too; if somebody ran their fingers down either one, they'd draw back bloody stumps. Ultimately, you can get a lot less knife for $10, even a lot less knife for $25-30. So, as with any purchase, the product must be judged in relation to its purchase price; and this is easily a 5* buy... it would still be a 5* buy even if it had cost 2 or 3 times as much. I'm not sure what some folks expect for $10; but judging from some of the reviews, those expectations are neither realistic nor reasonable.

Well worth price
Received today. Tested from paper, cardboard, fabric, and meats. I'm a real life forester and user of weapons. Living in the mountains and bush of Oregon, you need Real equipment not wall displays and "show and tell." My review is short. Knife- razor sharp (if not, I would be retuning as Of her products I have done). Sheath- need to work with it to understand the strap that holds the knife. BTW, the knife stays in Holster w/o strap. It is functional and well suitable in the ..J Francis, Oregon

You Can’t Beat It!
Well, actually you can, and you’ll probably, want to beat the snail snot out of this cheap, toy-like commando knife. Sounds like a good purpose to me. Nothing I’d trust my life to. The Wahoo Killer Knife is a nice bonus. Keep it as a truck knife, a shop knife, or a back-up camping knife. Keep a sharpener handy, you’ll need it. Didn’t expect much for $10, so, I wasn’t disappointed.

A Little Disappointed
Have ordered from BudK before and til now have always been satisfied. I ordered three of these and all of the skinner knives were decently sharp. Just a little work and they are razor sharp. The bigger knives all had different grinds and were extremely dull. Could rub my hand down blade without any danger of cutting. Using Worksharp Ken Onion edition knife sharpener I was able to get one so far that is pretty sharp for most of the blade. The curved underbelly is very hard to get sharp due to the shape. Still working on the other two. I like the knives. They feel good and look good. Only complaint is I wish they had arrived with a better edge.

No tang at all
I love shopping at BUDK and am a Buyers Club member but unfortunately, I have to knock the Tactical Commando Knife for its lack of a Tang. What is underneath the handle is a thin threaded rod that is almost welded to the nubs from the actual blade. I say almost welded because my 11 year old makes better welds than what I found in this knife. The only reason I removed the handle was that it looked like there might be a "survival gear pocket" under the end plate. Nope. I will say that I LOVE the "Skinner knife" which is a black Wahoo Killer. These knives never disappoint.
