Product Description
For up close encounters the allies carried trench knives like this one. The stainless steel blade is enclosed in a rock solid zinc aluminum knuckle guard handle for in-your-face enemies.
Frankly, for the price I didn't expect a whole lot out of this knife, but I have always wanted to add a trench knife to my collection. I saw this on one of BudK's BOGO sales, so I went for it. It's not the heaviest blade in the world but considering it's intended use, I'd say it is very adequate. This a double-edged trench knife and mine came out of the box shaving sharp on both edges - I tried it to see. Altogether, very happy with my knife and I would recommend it. Looks pretty bad-ass too! I haven't checked the second one yet as I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or give it as a Christmas gift. I liked the first one so much, I'm kind of leaning toward keeping it!

Very sturdy, great knife
Knife came sharp out of the box and is obviously built to last. The sheath could be better, but overall this knife is great quality and price wise.

Huge!
This knife is huge. The video is right the handle is rock solid. This probably wasn't the smartest idea but, I punched a rock with this thing the handle didn't even. Lose any paint. Although my hand didn't seem so great after that this knife is virtually indestructible.

Of the three or four trench spike/knuckle guard knifes I have purchased on this site this one is the best! The blade is huge, the knuckles are solid as hell, and the skull cracker is freaking wicked!

wow
This is the best knife I've bought off of budk.It came very sharp , but the sheath was not very good at all.

Absolutely love this blade. just holding it makes you feel like a bad ass, and the intimidation factor is way up there. A "must have" for anyone who collects blades.

I got the other version they sell and lets just say that this one feels way more bad-a**. The blade is alot bigger... so is the pommel spike. Its also sharp whereas the other has no edge at all. The blade is more stable as well. The pair feels reeeally nice to hold and it's definatly worth it to get both.

trench knife
this is a good knife. it has a nice blade and I love the skull crusher on the bottom. I was outside crushing soda and fruit all day long. the sheath is bad and the snap is on the wrong side. also before use tighten up the blade by tightening the skull crusher so it doesn't get lose when using it. but as long as it stays in tact its good to me.

I give four stars because it isn't a bad knife knife, my mind just wasn't blown. just like the description said, the handle is very sturdy. I have already beaten an old dresser to shards with it and it is holding up pretty well. another review said that their blade wobbled a bit, and after taking it apart found that it was a poorly made tang. I took the pommel off of mine to discover that it is indeed a rat-tail tang, but so long as you don't chop things with it it shouldn't pose a problem.
the only thing that surprised me when i opened the box was the blade was wider than how it looked in the picture, and whereas the metal looks to be the same make as the grip it was smooth and slightly reflective. I was not disappointed at all with it however. this is a fun knife to show off and play around with, but I don't recommend harsh treatment.

Not bad for the price.
The knuckle guard and spike are both rock solid, but the blade is loose. It wiggles slightly in the hand guard. The sheath is decent. It's made in China even though the box says U.S.A.

I got one of these a long time ago yet I never got the chance to write a review. When I first got it, they seemed alright. But then, it started to dawn on me.

First of all, the tang stamp (more like printing) reads Tomahawk. Now, I own several Tomahawk knives and I know them... not in a good way. That's not to say all their knives are bad; this one was quite nice. But I found some major flaws.

First, I swung it. The first few times, I felt a small "clink-clank" sound in the handle. "Alright," I thought. So I continued to swing it around (not very forcefully, mind you), but then it became slightly more pronounced. Then I noticed that when it was swung, the blade shook slightly (!) when the swing reached the end. This was a big problem and I knew only one reason behind this:

It was a poorly made tang.

I had some trouble trying to find a way to take it apart, but then I discovered you could unscrew the pommel very easily with a wrench. I popped that sucker off and slid the blade out. What I saw shocked me: it was a poorly constructed rat-tail with a threaded end to accept the pommel. I snapped this thing with a bit of force, but did not really regret it.

Switching over to the pro's, I have a good amount. The handle is well constructed out of steel (I'm not sure kind, but it looks like cast metal), with U.S. 1918 stamped on it. It's hefty, feels good to hold, and on top of that, I got myself a pair of steel knuckles! Overall, the grip was good but the knife could've fared better.
