Product Description
This massive sawback survival knife measures 14 3/8" overall and features a 9" razor-sharp coated AUS-6 stainless steel blade with a "Dead And Not Dead Enough" laser etch. The hollow cast aluminum handle is textured for grip and offers a screw-off butt cap with a compass and a survival kit right inside the handle.
I purchased the knife before reading the reviews. When it came in the mail it seemed like a decent knife. HOWEVER, yes the sheath is too big for the knife and the spikes that came with mine were stripped and only one screws in. I also do agree with a previous review that the sharpening stone is too small but it's a survival knife if your using it to survive be glad you have a stone at all. Overall the knife is $13 you can't really complain if you want something flawless then spend the extra money on a better knife. Absolutely love the writing printed on the blade.

AMAZING KNIFE DO BUY
This knife is the best knife I own by far, though the blade came a little loose the compartment in the handle has a bolt where you can tighten it so no bigger XD Sharp blade, cuts through things fast. The serrated edges are really nice for cutting vines and would probably cut a 3 inch (in girth) branch in about 15-20 minutes. I love this knife XD Good weight, pretty balanced for a knife this sized. Really just a all around amazing knife XD

I just received the knife a couple of minutes ago. Had a couple of scratches here and there, but nothing too bad. It wasn't sharp, but that can be fixed. The tip of the blade is what's really sharp. All in all it's a good knife. I gave it 4 out of 5 because the sheath is very loose and sometimes the knife will sit awkwardly in it, but it's not that bad.

buckmaster knockoff
The spikes and hole at the bottom are so it can be used as a grappling hook. Cheap knockoff of the Buckmaster.

Eh...
Ordered Sunday, received Thursday. First appearance out of the box was pretty pleasing. Aesthetically wise, the sheath and blade look quite good, especially together. Upon inspection of the sheath, I noted the surprisingly good quality of the sheath. The included sharpening stone has its own solid plastic area. The stone itself however is way to small to actually use with a blade of this size. The blade itself was quite sturdy, no complaints other than not being sharp. The optional spikes only seem to hinder a good grip on the blade, would definitely recommend leaving those off. The survival kit actually made me laugh. The compass, (embedded in the screw off butt). was barely even functional, generally pointing the opposite direction. Only three green phosphorous matches, which I would like to add, are not windproof or waterproof or strike anywhere, are included. One very cheaply packaged bandage, (with the packaging torn open), was included. Basic fishing equipment was included as well, (haven't been able to test as of yet), as well as a few unknown tools to me. General synopsis, if you're buying for the blade itself, then it's worth it. The "survival kit" however, I wouldn't spend money on.

Blade snapped clean at handle
Fairly sharp out of the box. Nice looking item. The case is horrible, but I knew that from the reviews. However, 2 hits into a small branch and the blade snapped at the handle. It was a clean break. If you are going to use this knife for real camping, hunting and/or survival situations, buy something more expensive. This is the only item I have had an issue with, and I will continue to use BudK. This item is just mainly show.

Not Dead Enough Survival Bowie with Sheath
This knife looks good but I found that is not as good as it looks the blade screws in to the handle. While I was using the knife the screw had begun to loosen up and when I checked the screw had striped itself. Overall this knife was a waste of money for me.
