I love the knife and I love the brand, But I dropped the dang thing once.. The spring assist mechanism failed, You can see one of the parts broken right at the base of the blade. I would retract my earlier review seeing as how I made it to soon, but I see no such button.

I ordered my knife on a Friday and got it on Saturday the next week. I was so exited to get it that I tore the package open at the doorstep with my teeth, This knife was well worth the wait. I might even order a new one for my brother! P.S It was shaving sharp out of the box! Though the plastic wrapping was cut leading me to assume someone at the warehouse opened it to sharpen it for me but still.. good customer service.

I am... disappointed. In all fairness, the knife works great, and has not stopped working. However, there are a lot of minor things with this knife that I wish could be solved.

The clip screws are not particularly secure, and when worn in the pocket have a tendency to wiggle. This wiggle moves the clip. The liner on the pommel of the knife is very thin metal, and the wiggle of the clip was enough to break it off. One of the screws in the pocket clip fell out.

The liner of the knife seems to be attached by small screws inside the liner. The handle of my knife has become separated slightly from the liner, and now wiggles about 1/16in back and forth.

Overall, yes, it's a good knife, but I was expecting a much more high-quality product out of Smith & Wesson. I doubt I'll buy anything else from them after this experience.
