Product Description
The 3 1/4" blade of this Boker Anti-MC is made of hi-tech ceramic, which is 100% non-magnetic and provides outstanding edge retention and corrosion resistance.
The Anti-Grav MC is my second of two Boker Ceramics offered here. The other is the slightly more expensive Carbon Fiber Scales version Item: 19 BR01944 I've owned that one for about a year and recently sent it off for sharpening, according to the Boker contact listing: $19.95 to a company (not Boker) in Los Angeles. (You cannot sharpen a ceramic knife.) It was back in less than a week and is as sharp as when new. The Carbon Fiber version is distinctly lighter than the Titanium Scales version, but has a down side... the edge of the scales are sharp enough to have worn a hole in my jeans where I carry it, clipped to a pocket. For cutting, there's nothing like either of these--the blades are identical in both--but do not pry when cutting. Break the ceramic blade and you're all done. Boker warns you in the instructions. But great fun to carry and show. Guys who think they know knives are amazed... Really? Ceramic?

There should be more stars to pick! This is above five star! Sharp?? um.....is the sky blue because the atmosphere absorbs all the other colors and reflects blue?...YES, this is a real BO(umlaut over the "O")KER +MCR! Seen elsewere for at least 20% higher price. It comes in a magnetically closed box, a registration card, a cleaning cloth (yes a microfiber cleaning cloth with the BÖKER + logo to keep your pretty knife all shiny!) Despite what the picture shows, there is a removable clip (holds by to hex screws)
I don't seem to have any torsion with the blade (no wiggle at the handle) and it opens and closes like butter still, which means it's a well crafted piece of hardware.
Now, some things to keep in mind with ceramic:
1. Being super sharp has one big disadvantage, the product is a little more brittle than steel, which means no using the knife as a multi-tool the blade WILL snap! Don't say I didn't warn ya.
2. When cutting DO NOT twist the blade (as in to pop out what you just cut) the blade may crack or break.
Even with these "cons", I have a leatherman on me at all times, this blade compliments the other tool, if used as properly intended this blade will keep it's edge for years!!
Bottom Line: WHY HAVE YOU NOT BOUGHT ONE YET!

Blade and titanium handles are quality made. After limited use, blade became sloppy, loosened up. Contacted Boker USA, was told tightening is normal maintenance. Cannot tighten blade nut & screw without removing pocket clip. Both pocket clip screws and blade tightening nut are very small TORX screws, which most people do not possess. If it goes loose again after Warranty Repair shop tightens and applies Loctite, would not recommend, as measure of good knife is whether parts stay together or fall apart.
