Smith & Wesson Special Tactical Pocket Knife

I bought this knife about a year ago from BUDK and couldn't be happier, for less than $15 this the absolute best deal you'll find for a pocketknife! The rubberized, textured handle fits perfectly in your palm and gives you an incredible grip while the blade lock snaps into place perfectly and won't budge until you intentionally move it. After a year of daily carrying and pretty tough use this blade is still going strong- I took a sharpener to it about six months ago to really hone the blade and it's held that edge completely, the only thing that has worn slightly is the black finish, but that's only small scratches and wear spots in high traffic areas. My only complaint about this, and I mean only, is the thumb stud is only on the right side of the blade, making it hard for left-handed me to actually consider this "assisted open" since there's no mechanism to open the blade for you. Regardless, I highly recommend this knife. Easy carry, highest quality, best value.

Amazing knife I did not buy it from here though but it came razor sharp. I have thrown it, stabbed plywood, cut down a small tree with it and it is still firm. The knife is very light weight and the handle has a great grip for small and big hands. I recommend buying this knife and the Smith and Wesson bulls eye combo pack...

Great great knife for the price. I do a ton of carving for spears and I usually use the Smith and Wesson Special Tactical for the skinning. I did not buy this awesome knife at BUDK, but I love the site and hope to eventually buy more and more knives here at BUDK. I recommend this knife to a person whose looking for a cheap, handy, and lasting knife.:)

I should have known this was to good to be true. As a pocket knife it's okay...as a assisted open knife it sucks. If you consider open assisted a thumb open ok but, be careful this blade doesn't always lock open. Very disappointed with this knife. I got a Timberwolf with this knife and it was exactly what was described. Editing from the catalog guys is needed.
