Razor sharp stainless steel blade

Ambidextrous thumb stud
Measures 9 3/8" overall
Product Description
The knife choice of refined gentlemen everywhere, this classic Timber Wolf pocket knife features a slim blade, equipped with an ambidextrous thumb stud. The hardwood handle is contoured to fit effortlessly in your grasp.
I keep this knife in my desk at work to carve up apples, avocado, nectarines, plums, etc. so I can have a fresh lunch when fruit and veggies are in season. It was VERY sharp out of the box and the edge is holding up well after several weeks of daily use. It is elegant and attractive enough not to make people worry - a problem with some more modern knives in the workplace - and folds nicely for a drawer, unlike a small chef's knife or parer. It's a good blade that looks nice and is very well made overall. The "engraving" is really just acid etching but, that's fine. It has my name on it so if found in the breakroom people know who it goes to.

Good Knife good price
This is an attractive knife with a long slender blade that can get very very sharp. It is not a pants pocket knife, its better designed as a coat pocket knife. However it is lacking a clip to keep it in place and this is not an ambidextrous knife as mentioned (right handed thumbstud only). There is a notable design flaw as well, mentioned many times in the comment section. It is possible to open it one-handed but it is very difficult and you could easily drop it. You put your middle finger and thumb on the brass stripe but where do you put your index finger to counter the weight of the knife while you push it open? I've slowly found that you can do it by positioning your index finger at the point where the end position of the blade and blade lock meet then shifting your finger just before the lock of the blade but that not only requires a bit of training (i'm a left-hander) it's not comfortable. In spite of this design flaw I can't seem to bring myself to drop a star off because I got it at a good sale price. It's a good knife at a good price with a few lovable flaws.

$5? Yeah. Get it.
Great knife got on $5 Friday. Love it. Oiled it up working great. Only compliant is one the black wooden scales is too thin and the brass liner can be felt. Otherwise I'll buy another. Thanks BudK.

Finally got it!Hurray!
I have wanted this knife for 20 years. But never had the money for it when it was in stock. Not wealthy here.Well? This time?Things worked out.And at $10.00?What a steal?I am a Master Knife and Sword fighter outside of work...3 r/d degree gook and internationally certified to teach these skills too.So I know blades. After I received this?I tightened everything up first. Then?I put on a Gloss coat of oil based polyurethane to seal the damned thing from future scratch's.Then I sharpened it enough so you can shave with it.It has a blade 1 inch longer than my previous pocket knife I used for 21 years. That one was also purchased at BudK.I will put this one in my will to pass on.Ditto the last one.I do recommend this.Very beautiful and functional when I was done upgrading it.4 people have already tried to steal this from me too. Thanks for this!

Very Sharp and Quick
I bought this years ago (2018) and am ordering another. This thing is really sharp and deploys VERY quickly. I showed it to a guy at work and I was sitting on a work-stool chair. He snapped it and it skidded off the floor and cut my dockers at the cuff and missed my leg by inches. So, I talked to him privately. But I love this knife.

A gents' knife indeed
This knife can be carried in the inside jacket of your suit or in the pocket of your jeans. Either way it looks great and performs well with out being awkward or hard to handle. I'm going to buy more for friends!

Good bargain
Very nice looking knife, easy to open with one hand. Has a nice edge on it...little bit of sharpening gets it razor sharp. It's a little bigger than it looks in the picture...I wish it came with a sheath (it's just a tad to big for my pants pocket). I bought it on a whim because it was on sale...i'm extremely pleased with this knife. Showed it to a fishing buddy who thought it was a $50-$60 knife. Excellent deal from Budk.

Very Good Knife
This knife is very good looking. It opens easily with the the thumb with a satisfying click. The blade was sharp and locks tight when open. I got it for when I'm wearing a suit but it is a little big for that, but that is not the knife's fault.

Great Knife
I have bought quite a few knives from BUDK , and have been very happy with all, but the "Gentlemans Pocket Knife" by Timber Wolf is an extremely good product. The blade holds an edge, style is great and the price makes it perfect.

very impressed
Perfect knife to own!!! I bought several knives, but this beauty is one of a kind for the price. Comes with a great edge, but when sharpened turns the blade into a razor edge. That's enough said, cause I'm not done playing with it.(the knife that is folks) thanks BUDK. I'll be buying from you guys again soon. MN
I like the style and feel. As others have noted, it is a bit large and heavy for pocket carry, but that's fine; it's a beautiful knife.
I have only two concerns: 1) The liner lock does not readily snap into place. Perhaps some wear where the blade and lock meet will cure that over time. 2) There are some small scratches on on one side of the handle, covering about an inch along the handle, and the finish in that area is a bit dull, as though something was rubbed against it. It detracts from the aesthetics of the knife but obviously doesn't affect the operation.
Overall, I am happy to add it to my collection.

True gentleman
It is exactly what it is described as. it may be a little too large to carry conventionally, and has no clip, but it doesn't pretend to. its a solid construction, it feels nice in your hand, and it is of surprising quality for the price. This knife could cost 20-30+ dollars and it wouldn't be a shock, and it would still be worth it. there are some places where the wood is worn away inexplicably, but its barely noticeable unless you scrutinize the blade very closely. Very sharp out of box, and locks up tight. my only real complaint is that thumb stud is hard to use because its so close to the handle, and it sort of has to be opened from an unconventional angle, and is very much not ambidextrous. four well-earned stars. a near perfect knife, for the price--unbeatable. makes a good gift for knife people that like having unique styles.

Great style, fair quality, weird design decisions
This knife looks great from a distance, but is not strong, and is not a user.
Pros:
- Low price, and acceptable quality for the price
- It looks fantastic from the side with the blade open
- It's BIGGER than you might imagine; way bigger than most "Gentleman's" knives
Cons:
- Flimsy liner lock doesn't engage tightly (lots of blade wobble)
- Liner lock release interferes with finger grip when the blade is open (it extends too far down)
- A pointy extension on rear edge of blade looks bad when closed
- Thumb stud only for right hand use (NOT ambidextrous)
- Thumb stud positioned too close to the wood, so opening requires two hands. The stud is pointless.
- There are TWO metal liners on one side and ONE liner on the other side. The knife is asymmetrical and looks ridiculous from the top. Considering the weak liner lock, this should have been a simple slip-joint design.
Overall:
I bought this purely because of the look and expected a cheap product. I'm happy looking at it on the shelf, but would never actually use it for fear of breakage. I'd love to see this model remade at the $50 or $100 price point.
