4' Wax Wood Self Defense / Training Staff

I bought a 4 pack of the 4 foot staff and some how they doubled my order and double charged me, thought I would have to go to the trouble of sending one order back but after seeing the quality of the product I have decided to keep them will give them to friends that need a good walking stick/staff for self defense. in same order I had ordered two 6 foot staffs, and now have 4 of them also. but I might be too stingy to give any of them away. I am very impressed BUDK as always.by the way have been a customer for many years and never have had a complaint worth worrying about. again great job!!!

The staff is for my wife, she loves it, she though, it was a but ruff to handle, so she got our son to lightly sand it down, the staff is great

Had to treat it with wood polish, it was really dry but it has great balance and is solid.

Great staff is all I can say! I've heard that waxwood is good but wow!

I mistakenly bought a staff from a competitor and the first time I demonstrated a striking technique for a class I was teaching, it shattered. This Bud-K 4 foot staff is the real thing. I first ordered 3 and they arrived straight and true. We do full contact sparring and they have held up beautifully. Please note that these are not "Twirling" sticks. If all you want to do is show a form, at 1 3/16" this is a heavy duty fighting staff. These are perfect for my application and I am well pleased!

The wood from which this staff is made is actually quite a good wood. I was surprised at how sturdy it is. I gave it to a friend as a birthday present, and I'm glad to see that it was worth the time and money.

One word to sum this this one up; Awesome!

I had a few issues with this staff. First it was a lot heavier than I expected, not really a bad thing. Also one end of the staff is clearly wider than the other. Also the staff was slightly bent. They were not big problems, and might just be the design of the staff because the pic shows similar attributes.

Very solid, it hits and takes hits well and doesn't send a shock to your hands either.

Staff arrived and is bent, beginning around 16" from end at a 15° angle. Not worth it to return it. Normally very happy with Budk's products!
