This seemed such a clever idea, I would have gotten one long ago if not for the price, which seemed high for a little plastic and a little spring, but finally I gave in and ordered one, along with my order of swords and knives.
One end pops off to reveal a compartment 3 inches deep and 1 inch in diameter. The friction is just right, not to easy, so the compartment is unlikely to be discovered, yet not too difficult to remove if you know it can be opened. So far so good. Now the bad news.
Be warned: The total length, uncompressed, is 5 3/4 inches long, including the quarter inch tabs on each end. The length is 5 1/4 uncompressed, not counting the button tabs which hold it in place. On my 5 1/2 inch wide toilet dispenser arms, it falls out with just by touching it or unrolling a little toilet paper. To fit properly the arms must be 5 to 5 1/4 inches apart.
even a tiny bit more it will rattle around suspiciously(as the real ones have a long spring and keep tension on at all times, so no rattle) and at 5 1/2 inches, it will fall out with the slightest jostle, like mine. It will not compress less than 5 1/4 inches (exactly) including the tabs, (4 3/4 measured without the tabs) so trying to insert one quarter inch tab in place and the other making the length at full compression 5 inches, you can see you will not be able to get it in at all if the arms are LESS than 5 inches apart. So the inside distance of the arms MUST be between 5 inches and 5 1/4 inches. That is 12.7cm to 13.4cm.
I am annoyed at not having been told this in advance.
