Great swords. Pretty well made. Bought them as a Christmas gift for my son who collects swords and weapons just for fun. He loved them. The nylon case is also very sturdy. I’ve bought several swords from Bud K and I’ve never been disappointed!
These two swords make the 6th and 7th I have purchased. They are perfect for the photo shoot I have coming up. Not to mention the quality is very good. I am very pleased with the quality of the swords up to this point.
These swords make anyone at least ten times as sexy as they would be without such blades. The edges come blunted, of course, but that's fine with me. The sheathes fit beautifully on the back, and allow both blades to be drawn simultaneously, with much flourish. You must be ever careful as you place the swords back into the sheathes, as they are on your back, and made of cloth. If you sharpen the blades, you run a little risk of stabbing yourself in the back. But it would be worth it, as these are beautiful, solid, amazing swords. Buy them, you will not regret it. I showed up to my friends house, with gifts in my hands, and they wanted to see these swords before anything. The insanely pointy tips will thrust into cardboard as easily as wet paper. You will not regret putting the money down to get these. They're bigger than I thought they'd be, and I am 110% thrilled that I bought these. Now, excuse me, I'm tired of writing, and must go chop up some fruit with my pair.
I just received my two Gladiator Swords yesterday. They are really good. Very lite in weight & easy to maneuver around. Everything I've bought from Buk K has been great.
Bought these a while back. They aren't meant for combat but as display pieces they aren't bad. The blades could have been done better but at $20 you can't really complain. The handles are plastic but it's not a deal breaker. Just wish more work had gone into the blades. The scabbard is junk but I don't us mine, tried using it once and realized it was a pain trying to get the swords out.
Very nice for the price. If your looking for something to play with but on a budget, this is a great deal!
To those of you thinking of purchasing these gladiator swords let me say they are very nice and look cool :) good for wall hanging or costumes. Not for actual use. I rated it 5 stars because I bought them for decor. The handles are smaller then I thought but look very nice. Thanks budk!
Great quality definitely going to buy from here again love the swords but came a little later than expected and one has a chipped tip to it other than that they are great strong made swords
if dull good for practice. other than that it's more for display but still a cool thing to have
These are what they are, and that is, inexpensive and more or less decorative. They are fine as wall hangers or for practicing 'forms', but for actual sword use? Or to use as a machete? Forget about it. The handles are too slick for a proper grip, the blades will take an edge, but won't hold one, especially if used in live steel! IF you're looking for a decoration, costume piece or proper weighted training tool, they are worth every penny. IF you need an actual 'gladiator' sword, spend the extra money and buy the UC Combat Commander... http://www.budk.com/product/United-Cutlery-Combat-Commander-Gladiator-Sword/177839.uts
