Product Description
A Polyresin prop replica of the iconic Dwarven sword wielded by king Thror in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, now wielded by his grandson Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The design of this richly detailed prop represents the regality of the Dwarven kingdom of Erebor, featuring an ornately sculpted raven hilt with gold accents and a gold inlaid blade. Crafting this massively thick sword blade in real steel was not possible outside of Middle-earth, so we have exactly replicated the Urethane and aluminum filming prop in polyresin with screen-accurate detailing, hand-painted colors, and weathering effects. Comes with a 3-dimensional poly stone wall display sculpted to match the styling of Thorin's regal war shield. Each piece is individually serial numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity.
Looks and feels amazing. People dont like it bevause its not made of steel but united explained the sword wouls be far too heavy to hold. It looks just like in the movie and fun to swing around. Cannot beat the price. Thanks budk

Great Replica
This sword is an amazing replica of the movie sword. The raven motif is stunning and the plaque is one of the best created in the line. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating was due to the polyresin finish. I understand the use of this material, but I prefer real metal weapons. Still a great addition to my collection.

Meh... Yes and No
I finally broke down and bought one, despite all the negative criticism. And, the remarks online hold true for mine. Upon opening it I loved it. It wasn't as big as other complain as far as scale goes and the paint job didn't really seem as bad as other claim. Basically at first glance I loved it, its actually got some weight to it as well which was surprising. Upon a closer look, some paint/material was chipped of on the ravens cross guard, not a deal breaker, a sharpie and some smearing hid it completely, You could never tell. Then I remembered people complaining about resin fracturing... Sure enough, upon looking, where the handle and cross guard meet, a hairline fracture circling almost the entire handle... I bought this piece to judge if I should continue collecting BudK/UC's resin line up (Dain) and basically, no. I'll take the hit on this one, but won't risk anymore. Stop being cheap and make them to the QC standards UC did before. I get being cost effective, but there is a point where you sacrifice customers. Don't get me wrong, I still want to like this piece, but the crack running around the handle is gonna bother me, and basically I'm hesitant to even hold it as it may finish breaking.

I thought it would be like a broadsword but its actually kinda small. due to it being a cast replica it feels more like a toy than a weapon.

Good price, fun wall hanger
Great buy for the reduced price. Unbalanced and odd in the hand but pretty awesome to have a Dwarven sword. Grab it while you can because at this price it will be gone soon. The plaque is pretty cool but I would say this is one of my heavier wall hangers, make sure you mount it securely.
