Bought 2 on a BOGO sale which is why it got 4 stars. Value. The blade is light as Machete goes. Blade came fairly sharp. The gut hook is not a true gut hook as the inside of hook is not sharp at all. It is thick and I have seen a lot thinner and worse blades that claim to be a Machete. Overall the slots for bending wire are a nice tool. This will be nice for camping in light brush but your not going to get through the rainforest with it. I was happy with it for what it is and the price is very fair.

Decent Machete, beat up though Reviewed by AJ on Dec 07, 2013   2 out of 5

This machete would have been a very nice blade, but it came very beat up. It had lots of scratches and marks as well as indents in the steel.

its a nice machete Reviewed by Ty on Nov 28, 2013   3 out of 5

this is a nice machete but it is cheaply made. its light weight and can swing very easily but thats one of my problems with it. when you think of a machete its purpose is to have weight so it can hack through solid objects. this simply has no weight behind it. great slashing weapon, no necessarily a great hacking or stabbing weapon.

great blade. i have had it a while and it really is good the para cord handle is a little sad and i had to re wrap it my self and have to re wrap it at times but this thing can cut better than my camping ax took it camping and used it instead of the ax cause it works better holds an edge well and is easy to resharpen when needed witch is hardly ever love it

I love it, it arrived in the next day and was perfect, just the awesomeness of the short sword itself is worth double what i paid, unquestionably a great first true swords buy.

I bought this machete expecting a short, but powerful chopping machine and that's exactly what I got. I really like the case (but the hook sometimes gets stuck on it when pulling it out if you're not careful, and the buttons are kinda cheap) and the sword itself feels great. I don't really like cord-wrapped handles so I just replaced it with some adhesive gauze stuff that I found. The hook is very study but not sharp and the blade actually came pretty sharp, but will still need sharpened more. The shipping was great and this is one of the best swords I have, regardless of the great price.
