Yet another awesome sword from shinwa. It's so nice to see a real sword with the toxic green wrap.. Shinwa should combine this sword with the BLUE KNIGHT tsuba.. It would be epic!! and sell 1000's.. I have dozens of shinwas now and love them all. Great quality low priced swords. These shinwas with the orange Damascus are some of the most beautiful blades on the market for this price... LOVE THE ORANGE Damascus.. BUDK IS THE BEST!!.. Buy this sword you won't regret it..

Badass! Although they don't show it well, the blade is frakin' awesome with its orange pattern

This cant be Damascus steel
The unboxing of this sword was ok, it did not come in a nice case just a brown box and a black sleeve. Fist thoughts, the sword looks really nice, the tang looks great with the Damascus pattern. I mean the construction of this thing feels absolutely solid. The sword did not come razor sharp but merely dull, in other words it couldn't even pass the paper test. First test, I cut a one inch limb on a tree, took 5 descent swings to cut this limb. Now remember I did not go hard here, just testing the durability of the tang and handle. After this small test I came to the conclusion that this sword is in fact basically a really solid sword for display only. This sword is by no means battle ready. After careful examination of the tang, I noticed the tang was bent in the middle and the hand guard came loose, was rattling slightly. Remember this was only five medium swings at an almost an inch thick limb, also on a very soft wood oak tree. The design on the tang started fading away where the blade hit the limb. This brings me to believe that this is not Damascus steel. I would like to say that this is 420 carbon steel because the steel is so soft and bends so easily, but im no expert. I would have given this a zero star rating if I could but I went with a one star rating because it is a beautiful to look at sword. Look at only.. All in all I guess you get what you pay for. I paid less than 70 bucks for this so im not too much worried about it, I was able to get the bend out mostly but there is still a little crimp in the tang, so I will just hang it up as a conversational piece.
