Being my first Katana I can't say I'm an expert on such things, but I have collected knives for many years and know a good product when I see one. I've been wanting to buy a katana for a while now and have been actively searching for a good sword to start with, but without over spending. This was it! I truly love the appearance and feeling of this sword. After getting it I started Kendo and find the weight and balance perfect for my needs. This is a truly beautiful sword and looks to be finely crafted as either a show piece or a useful weapon if ever needed as such.
A perfect starter sword for anyone looking to start collecting swords, practicing Kendo or just chopping things up for fun.

Sweet!
I have several katanas. Most are Musha. But this is the first one I have ever received with a fuller but no hamon on the blade. It makes the entire sword look more genuine. The handle is wrapped nice and tight. The scabbard is nice and not damaged in any way. Plus, the sword fits into it tight enough to where it doesn't fall out when held upside down. Lastly, this sword has a beautiful tsuba unlike any other katana I own. Very unique piece overall. Musha never lets me down. Thanks BudK!

Amazing sword, blades made of great steel, worth at least 100$, awesome for the price, one problem was the faux ray skin handle began to get loose on the handle, but still pretty awesome

Very very nice, I was suprised to see how nicely it was crafted, and boxed. To me it was well worth the money and I will bye more of these blades in the future.

If you are starting or growing a collection, this is a deal you cant miss! I got it a few months ago,and on my first day I tried to cut a milk jug, I missed and cut 1/2 an inch into the table, leaving only a VERY small dent. I also tried the blade on palm tree branches. Suprisingly it held up, and went clean through easily,as long as you have room. Beautiful sword all in all, and well made.

I half to say, a fine blade, it's beutiful and the craftsmanship is inspiring. This is my first sword I've ever wanted so far, and is perfect piece to start a collection.

I got this sword a bit over a year ago and I thought Id let everyone know how it held up. This was my first katana I had ever bought and it has managed to hold up pretty well over the years, the blade chips and bends pretty easily but if you know what youre doing the repairs arnt imossible...the blade hasnt been oiled or sharpened at all and it still cuts like it did out of the box and I only had a slight rust problem due to how porous the metal the blade is made out of is, but some ky jelly will actualy fix that for you if it comes up...anyway, it was my first and it still is one of my faves, if you need a good practice sword/beginner sword and you dont wanna rush out and but one of the more expencive this lil guy is a bargain......for more experienced zombie hunters I would spring for one of the 60-80 dollar musashi's (1060 carbon)

I got this sword as a replacement for another full tang katana that I broke, but I am faced with a predicament:
This sword is so amazing, I really don't want to scratch it up! I want to use it like I used my old one, for getting rid of underbrush or chopping wood, but even for 40$, this sword is just too damn nice. The blade is very sharp, and the sword has a nice, steep curve to the blade (It's a lot more curved than it looks in the picture). The metal tapers down to a little thinner towards the tip of the blade, but I really doubt that it could cause a break. It has a very solid feel, the handguard doesn't ring when swung, like it does on other swords I've used.

I would definitely recommend this sword to anyone, or at least a sword from the same set. For function, or a showpiece, this sword is amazing.

this is by far the most functional sword i've seen for $40 came with a nice edge already on it, it's light, durable it handled everything i could take a chop at (jugs, bottles filled and not filled, and even chopped my old trashcan to bits)
but then i got ahead of myself and bent the blade a little but it bent right back so no worries definetly plan on buying again if you could go 20/5 i would too

SO! i got this sword today; 2 days shipping (insanity quick) and i have to tell you about why you need to get it.
A: this sword is an insane deal for the price; it came MUCH sharper than i had anticipated, the sword in its entirety smells of quality, and you can feel it!
B: the sword bag it came in had a nice texture to it (although you would want a nicer one for display if doing so)
C: The box it came in is well... a few more pieces than it used to be.
D: no reason not to! the sword is absolutely beautiful!!
NOW.. one con, only one!
A: the tsuba isn't as bright as the picture ensues, but.. whatever!

Great sword good balance good weight overall great sword almost what i expected. The sheath feels a little light to me but is sturdy, had to glue the metal cap of the sheath down cause it kept coming off but that's not a real issues at all.
great buy and would recommend to anyone looking for their first Katana

The sword is awesome, It was a bit bigger than i expected, but that's good. The sword isn't very sharp, but i might be holding it wrong, it is my first katana.

Decent sword but,the chord started fraying for no reason, the handle started splitting and it started falling apart . no, I haven't used it. I swung it around a little, to get the feel of it but, that's all.
