Product Description
You'll feel like you're in the trenches with the soldiers when you try on this Russian style Czech helmet. One size fits most and it includes a removable leather liner and chin strap so even reenactors can be proud of this beauty.
Exactly when I paid for. It has character, but is still in good enough shape where it dosen't need to be painted. Leather on the strap is a tad annoying, but it's what expected. Great product.

Russian WWII Helmet
This helmet is a bargain! Yes, as noted the one you get will be used and not brand new like the picture shows. Mine is complete but well worn and that's perfect. Expect the leather liner to be a little stiff like an old baseball glove you find in the attic. A little cleaning and working it should soften up. A couple of rivets and some stitching let go on my liner. I think i'll leave it as is for now as this doesn't detract from functionality. The wear on the liner and scratches on the helmet increase its display value to me as it shows it was a real helmet in service even if not in combat or even in WWII. Buy it! This helmet is a great deal.

For what it is , its a great buy, but the helmet it self is more then likely from the late 50-early 60;s and the leather probably younger then that, but that just what the one i purchased appease to be. But all in all, its a great piece of kit to have and at a price your really cant beat

good deal!
I too received a Czech helmet. It is used which makes it better in my eyes. Great display piece in decent condition. Again a little piece of history at a very little price. Join the buyers club and get another 10% off! BUY IT!

this helmet is awesome and was worth the money. its obviously old since its surplus. it has dents and scratches which i think give it nice character. the leather is rough and hard but like i said that comes with the age. im very happy to own it and its very cool.

"Beat up, rusted, snapped rivets"
I bought this helmet as a display item for an upcoming class I'm teaching, so I wasn't looking for something pristine (nor did I expect it at the price) however, after reading other comments and ratings here, I was expecting something in a little better shape. For starters, there is a massive amount of rust on the M52 that I received. We're talking spots the size of quarters on the exterior. The rim also shows lots of scaled rust, which means it's not just affecting the surface anymore. Secondly, the rivets to the liner are snapped off on the suspension post inside the helmet. Since I'm not planning on wearing this one, it's not as big of a deal, but for someone who was looking for a soviet pattern helmet for reenactment purposes, this would be a major headache. As someone who collects militaria, I understand that surplus tends to be a bit worn, but this is definitely beyond what one should expect, especially given the sales description.
