As a former EMT I was attracted to the emblem on the knife and upon arrival it felt good in the hand, easy to open and the blade was sharp. The literature stated that the knife would not give. After opening the knife about ten times the lock gave and did not keep the blade in place. Thank goodness it did not happened during a rescue.

Like every purchase I've made from BUDK, the quality of this product is surprisingly excellent. The blade is perfectly sharpened, the clip doesn't seem cheaply made and the weight is sign of reliability(as Boris the Blade puts it). Def worth the 7 bux you spend on this thing. Need a good reliable cheap knife? GET THIS ONE!

good value Reviewed by David Otte on Nov 14, 2013   4 out of 5

This knife is a good value for the money. It opens easily and locks securely. It is sufficiently sturdy for any task for which a knife should be put to use, and is a good every day carry knife, being priced cheaply enough that if you should happen to lose it, you won't be heartbroken about it.

I was a bit concerned when I saw the blade was made in China, but so far I am impressed with quality of the moving parts, the hinge is tight with no play. I have noticed with use that the color is wearing off of the plastic. I dropped it one day and the blade opened on it's own. I have used the belt cutter in the field and it slices clothing well.

Opens with one hand easily and locks solidly. The blade is a smooth cutter through cloth or nylon webbing and the notch handles zip-ties, too! Just don't drop it on hard surfaces, the plastic handles are a bit fragile.

Surprising little folder Reviewed by jwerner on Apr 27, 2013   5 out of 5

I was very afraid that this knife would be useless when I bought it. I couldn't be more happy with it. The plastic grip feels just as nice as aluminum(which I prefer). Now, the plastic looked cheaply made because there were places on the knife that it had chunks sticking out. But they were easy to sand down and now it looks perfect. Blade was sharp and sturdy. Definitely going to buy the law enforcement version for my cousin.
