SCHF26 Schrade Survival Knife Reviewed by totenkopf on Apr 07, 2015   5 out of 5

For those of us who want Creek Stewart's Ontario/Ka-Bar Becker2 but are hard pressed to separate ourselves from the funds, this Schrade is the answer. At nearly 1/3rd of the Becker2 price, this knife will do practically everything the Becker2 can do and should last nearly as long. The knife is very sharp out of the box, although not razor sharp, the grind should help prevent chipping or damage from batoning when used in extreme survival conditions. The nylon sheath is adequate for the purpose and includes a small pouch for a sharpening stone or sundries as you see fit. The grip material provides some cushioning when laying on the baton, and makes other chores more tolerable when the knife must be used for a lengthy period. Well worth the money.

A Must-Have Reviewed by Chuck Roberts on Oct 02, 2014   5 out of 5

If you only buy one large fixed-blade knife, this is the one to have. Big, but not crazy big, blade is thick, sharp, and well- contoured. Handle scales are grippy, yet appear to be impact resistant. Sheath is good; spare pocket is a nice touch, which could add extra gear. So, you can have the same storage as a hollow- handled "survival" knife, but with the benefit of a full tang (try batoning a log with a hollow-handled knife..) All around excellent knife!

its pretty awesome Reviewed by ben on Sep 28, 2014   5 out of 5

best survival knife, best price. Reviewed by John on May 15, 2014   5 out of 5

UPS Surepost failed to deliver. Had to track knife down at Post Office. But it was worth it. This is the best all around heavy duty survival knife. Came sharp out of the box. one fourth inch thick blade. Nice ballistic nylon sheath. Pocket on front holds my new Swedish army fire striker and P51 can opener. Also came with a paracord lanyard. When I got home I went and cut down a tree in the back yard and cut some cardboard and stuff. GREAT KNIFE! GET ONE!
