So, this knife arrived today and, once the puppy was done trying to eat the box, I opened it and saw my new favorite toy. The sheath was on top and the nice leather and the work that went into it alone justifies the price. Checked it out and moved on to the star of the show. My first thought was 'if Goliath had a boot-knife, this would be it': the thing is freaking huge. The 'oil wood' description is accurate in that the whole thing is very well oiled: keep a roll of paper towels nearby when you unpack it. Also: be careful because, at least here, the little tip-protector had fallen off and trying to unwrap it, it poked my leg and drew blood. If I remember, I'll follow up after I test it out...
