disapointed Reviewed by Goyaathle on Sep 15, 2013   2 out of 5

Over the last couple of years I have been buying knives from budk. For the most part I have only had one complaint. Every knife that was supposed to be "razor sharp" has been so dull they wouldn't cut hot butter. A few minutes with a good stone and I have been able to put on a pretty good working edge and for the most part they stay sharp. This knife is a piece of junk. It actually had a pretty good edge but within four days it fell apart. The small screws fell out and the spacer that holds the blade just vanished. I called customer support and the nice girl said she would send me another one and that I did not have to return the broken one. A week later the knife arrived and it also had a pretty good edge. After using the knife for about a week I opened it up and guess what, it fell apart the blade actually fell out and although I have screwdrivers that will fit the small screws I could not repair it because the screws are somewhere in the carpet. The model BK19999 is a piece of junk. If you want to buy a good kerambit buy the tomauawk xl1515 is a little lighter but is solid and well made.

This is a great knife for seven dollars. I got this because I love the band Avenged Sevenfold and their logo is a skull with bat wings. Even though the skull decal has tiny little horns on it, I still carry it regularly. It's sharp, heavy, thick, opens every time, too. For seven bucks, you can't beat it.

good karambit Reviewed by eric on Aug 05, 2013   3 out of 5

good knife. skull plate came off and the screws come loose easy. the blade is sharp and the thumb stud acts as a pocket snag opener so it can b instantly opened for self defense

The winged skull assist-open Karambit is great. I ordered one for myself, when it came in I ordered another one for my son then ended up ordering another one for my son-in-law. That's 3 of the same knife. I like how good it holds an adge and I just love the assisted opening it really is a one handed opening and it opens in a flash.

Loose Blade Reviewed by Grimmie on Jan 18, 2013   4 out of 5

Sweet knife, looks awesome. Had a ok edge outta the box. Blade holds edge nicely. Only problem i had was the blade kept loosening up. Needed to keep unscrewing the skull decor and tightening. Easily taken care of with some thread lock. Awesome knife for the price if your willing to put some work into it.

This knife is great! It looks much better in person. the knife is flat black and the skull is polished beautifully. The blade is really sharp out of the box and I have a small chip out of the blade, but it's no big deal. It's actually got a good sized handle I have above average sized hands and it fits well in mine. I also measured the blade with an engineer's scale (really accurate ruler) it is 2 and 3/4" (straight I didn't measure the curve).
