Product Description
We've found a stash of these authentic military surplus gas masks, and we're passing the savings along to you with our unbeatable pricing! This like-new Czech M10 gas mask helps to protect the face, eyes and respiratory system against chemicals and radioactive and biological warfare agents that are used in the form of gases, vapors, aerosols, etc. Includes spare goggles and filter. Note: Though these gas masks and filters may function as intended, they have likely exceeded their expiration dates and should be used at your own risk.
I purchased this mask a few years, to keep with my worst case scenario 'Kit Bag'. It arrived quickly, and it's in excellent shape. Today, I started thinking that maybe I should buy at least one more, because in an emergency sharing is nice. Yet, this raises the question, should these masks be used as functional gas masks? In my opinion yes, and I understand why BUDK position is that these are sold as "novelty" items or collectibles. Fine. These masks are authentic, the one I received seems to be brand new. The filters are packaged in a quality foil wrap with expiration date. The filters are expired, but the foil pouch is still vacuum sealed. The filters start degrading once exposed to air, so I doubt sealed filters degrade much over time. Would I use this "novelty" in a real emergency? Another about this mask is the difficulty of installing the filters, and once installed, the filters we begin to expire, depending on the 'pollution' in the air. I think the best idea is to install the filters and put the mast into multiple zip sealed bags, to keep air out. Have spare filters, in thick 'pollution' 12 hrs. protection. If the Emergency Broadcast System suddenly warned of some type of an attack, would you want a gas mask?

Great Surplus Gas Masks!!
Bought one of these and one Russian gas mask.. This mask came with two sets of filters (absolutely new and sealed in plastic) plus an extras set of lenses. The bag that it came in is what you would expect for military surplus... not the cleanest but definitely cool. I have a pretty big head and the mask fits great. For just under $13.00 what's not to like??!! Would recommend any of these gas mask to people that are into having such items. Great job by BUDK !!!!

Best deal going
Bought four,,,family buy. Bought extra filters for all. I think once you start using a filter it is good for 12??? Hrs. The head liner in an old truck I was selling was drooping so I tore it out and sprayed several cans of rubber to replace it. Smell was not just bad but unhealthy. I tried my respirator for spray painting (nice quality). Did not work well enough to complete task. Had the idea to use my (gas) mask. INCREDIBLE!!!!! Folks say they are now good for props,,,,maybe so. But I will bet my life on it. Not kidding. I spent two hours inside a car with totally un breathable atmosphere abandoned had zero ill effects. Buying more and filters at this price. P.S. I love more than just family members,,,,,so I will share if need dictates. Good luck to all in the future!

Love it
It's a functioning gas mask...for less than $13 dollars. Would I trust it against mustard gas...absolutely not. Would I use it to scare the heck out of my brother...absolutely. I put it on a spiderman head and it is now one of my favorite man cave decorations haha. In all seriousness though I have a giant head and it fits me very well. It also seems like it would work very well if you had to clean out a musty basement or something like that. It seems like it would work against tear gas but I don't have any lying around to test it at the moment. I'm making jokes but I bought extra filters so I guess having it around "just in case" does give me a certain level of comfort. The bag it comes in is a nice touch too.

Tear Gas Only!
Don't try to protect yourself against anything but tear gas because that is what those filets are for. Other than that these masks are fun and make great props

Good Mask-Bad Bag
Received the mask and found it to be in great condition. It appears new and unused. However the stitching in the bag snaps was not as quality. One of the connecting snaps pulled loose while I was inspecting it. Will probably order an on M-17 gas mask carrier. But overall was worth the price.

only for smoke research first
research first this is stricktly novelty item only helps with smoke if the filter is any good. http://www.alpharubicon.com/basicnbc/differentmaskssarge.htm

re: "Can't Breath"
First take the cheek filters out and try it. If you can then breath, inspect the gasket area and inside the cheek filters. These look very similar to 1990's US stock. Sometimes there is a cardboard circle inside the orifice that needs removed depending on where it is made.

Pleasing mask
Is a great mask. When I received it, it was much higher quality then I originally expected. I'm very happy with this mask. I did a test with a strong ordure, and when I used the mask I couldn't smell it. Works well enough for me, but it's filters are no longer in their prime. Although they look good and appear to work quite well, don't expect them to filter actual toxins. Buy a new one, not one in storage.

Its quite a pain
When i received this mask it had grime and looked nasty, but i cleaned it up with a few rags and then i looked at the filters. My goodness the filters, it looked like one pair was used and i got a second pair along side it which looked at least decent. its quite bulky and the filters are a big pain to place in it took me half an hour to place both filters in and after i finished my fingers were sore from trying to place them in and those are the cons. some good things about this is the bag that it comes with that is quite large enough to fit in knives and hunting material and has an extra slot for something on the bottom end. It also has a speech part that most gas masks dont have and you wont be muffled. For the price its selling for currently its worth it honestly even if it comes in bad condition that i received you can still spruce it it but budk needs to up their game with product control
