I just tried mine in a good rain and it performed well, no leaks. Mine however doesn't seem as heavy duty as other reviews, it is vinyl coated not rubberized and I would be hesitant to wear it blazing a trail. I'm 5'6 and the poncho reaches about lower calf on me. Well thought out and constructed and will work as a 3 point shelter. Worth the money.

Bargain Swiss Poncho Reviewed by Luke on May 26, 2015   5 out of 5

This military-grade poncho is built like a tank! I got one at an army surplus store and i really like it, so I'll be sure to pick up more from BUDK at this steal of a price. My poncho sits strapped to my GI web gear and is ready for a hurricane should i get caught in one. PROS: cheap, Camo good for autumn, big CONS: camo only works in certain times of year, no sleeves A definite good buy for preppers, hikers, campers, or joe shmoes in need of a quality poncho.

Very good for what it is!! This PONCHO is more like a RAINCOAT with slits for your arms to fit through. Have not tried it in the rain, but it is big enough to cover a good size back pack. My fault for not researching the product. The PONCHO is not what I wanted, and it is really HEAVY duty. For what I paid I will find a use for it. They will go in the vehicles, should be good for watching road side assistance changing a tire in the rain.

Really 4 &1/2 Reviewed by Michael on Feb 12, 2015   5 out of 5

I ordered four of these after watching some reviews on youtube and reading some of the reviews here. One for each of by vehicles and two four camping. Once i received the package i inspected each of them from seam to seam. Two where perfect, one needed minor repairs (completed same day), one had a four inch tear. I called customer service and the rep sent me a replacement same day. Replacement unit was perfect. These are the largest ponchos on the market and at $5 apiece it doesn't matter what happens to them. I like the fact that they snap up the front for easy on/off access with out having to take my pack off while hiking or camping. Even with my 80lb pack on and me being at 5 10, these still hang past my knees. Your not going to find anything out there better for cheaper. Now for the down sides. The color is awful to say the least and if you need to repair it, your going to spend more then the thing is worth. It doesn't have sleeves, kind of sucks but not a deal breaker. Yep, that about it for bad things. If you want an all weather go anywhere and not give a crap $5 poncho, get one and fear not, your staying pretty dry! Heck, get a couple just to have around.

Great product Reviewed by Ed.T.III on Sep 21, 2014   5 out of 5

Overall a great product for a CHEAP price. I own 3 of theses and they are built tough. Sometimes I feel adventurous and will go off trial, macheting my way through the woods in downpour rain. My body stays dry and all the branches and vines I cut through do not rip the poncho open. Yes they are that tough. Love them!! I have three and probably will buy more in case I take a group backpacking. Also if your pack is not to huge the poncho will fit over it keeping both you and your pack dry. Awesome buy!!
